Why is he doing this? I remember last week something came out that part of the agreement was thought to be his son automatically being elevated to HC when he retired. Is he just doing this to get his son's foot in the door?

The worst part about this is he won't be on the manningcast anymore

I actually think he's doing it because no NFL team wants him on his terms.

I know he's the GOAT and all, but he's an old, old guy...who will want to do everything his way.

But that's what I'm saying, he's an old, old man. Take your 8 rings and chill

Maybe his gf wants a free ride to UNC

I think guys built like Bill don't know how to stop. I mean he's got a 24 year old girlfriend - he's not ready to settle down. He's ready to chug some coffee, pop that Blue Chew and get to work.

His son is the DC at Washington. I’d imagine he follows Bill in the same capacity at UNC. Bill trying to get him a future landing spot there as his successor probably plays a part in this.

You also naturally have a full control of your football operation as a head coach at the college level which I don’t think anybody in the NFL was offering him.

yeah this is odd, doesn't he have like a 23 year old gf, and a ton of money, I'd be focused on chillin at that point.

Also, two lineman have said that everything is fine. It was also the offensive line that went to Sirriani and the coaches during the bye to tell them to run the ball.

That is the most standard response to the question "what went on with the offense today?" I've ever seen. It's up there with "we've just gotta get back into the film room,"

Team record prior to the o-line going to coach to tell them to run the ball: 2-2
After: undefeated

One group is saying that they're on the same page and the other isn't. Dickerson can't go and tell the media that they're making stuff up when someone on the team said those exact words and I hate the media.

One group has benefitted from decisions and the other has not.

The door is open.

If Hurts just gets the ball out, none of this would be an issue. But he doesn't.

An interesting point Shawn Syed brought up: Are we sure this particular problem isn’t coaching just being fed up with the Turnovers? He’s historically been willing to let 50-50 balls rip to at least AJB. He was even doing it to start the year, but was turning the ball over left and right. So maybe it’s that he’s capable of A or B, but not a middle ground. Not good, obviously. But it’s just weird.
