Finally got around to the game from Sunday. I am extremely concerned about this passing game. The Ravens haven't stopped much of anyone all year and the sum total of what they generated was AJ Brown breaking tackles, RPOs, and that Drag as a Man beater. This is what's going to determine their ceiling.

Yes, "the passing game". Which comprises of a top 3 WR duo in the league, the best O Line in the league, a great receiving TE, and....

Doesn’t seem like Moore helps out Hurts at all with stressing the defense vertically and horizontally. Seems like he chooses play calls that only do one or the other…and not both. It’s really, really weird and just confusing.

We’re on Offensive Coordinator #3 of an extremely simple passing game. I’m not his biggest fan, but we’re well passed the point of delusion if we’re pinning all of this on Kellen Moore no matter how many people are ritually sacrificing themselves on the altar of intangibles. Mesh, RPOs, Drags, sideline deep balls. The throws don’t change.

They removed a lot of their horizontal stretches because they weren’t working. That’s what the Bubble Screens everyone hated were doing. And if you’re not going to throw the ball over the middle, what exactly are those plays setting up? I do think Hurts is a little more willing to do that this year than previously. For him, it’s good. In general, it’s still not good enough. I hope that continues trending this way.

There are also some…interesting…routes being run by the non-AJB/DeVonta receivers.

Given Hurts went toe to toe with Mahomes in the SB, somehow I think he can rise to the occasion when needed.
Though it would help if Dotson or Wilson could step up. Or Calcaterra.

But I think what they really need are more screens to Barkley, just get that boy in the open field with those big horses in front of him and watch DBs do "I walk through the Valley of Death ...and here comes the baddest MF in the Valley" as he runs downhill with a head of steam toward them.

I think Hurts can be fine as a field general type QB as long as he doesn’t turn the ball over, which he hasn’t been. Make the Eagles identify about defense and the ground game. As long as Hurts can pick up first downs running or passing, and stretch the field once in a while, I think this Eagles team is good enough to contend

My brother in Christ, Hurts a field general? Am I reading this right?

Hurts is horrendous at everything a field general QB needs to do
