Other Sports: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): Love, Hurts - Super Bowl LIX Champions (Jojo's Favorite Time Of The Year - Combine)

That had better just be a low money deal that doesn't cost them a pick. I'm assuming it's similar to Penny, which then makes it a good bet.

Was I the last person to find out this Schultz insider guy is a giant nepo baby? Explains the public rage episode.
You weren’t the last because I don’t even know who he is, lol.

Initial numbers I've seen are something like 3M base with up to 6.25M in incentives

His Dad is the founder of Starbucks.

I had never heard the name before he tried to start a fight with Rapoport in a Starbucks at the Combine.

Should be fine then, assuming he’s not hitting those incentives.

I knew the Rapoport thing but… it happened at a Starbucks and his family started Starbucks?

That’s some #Levels shit.

My guts are hurting rn because I know this is probably true

Possible, but with the last year of his rookie contract in '26, the 5th year option in '27 and the franchise tag in '28 as starting points for these negotiations, the Eagles are actually in a very good position to negotiate an extension.

Add in Howie's practice of giving cash early, while deferring the cap hits to later in the contract and even adding a couple of dummy years and we're actually pretty far out from his contract becoming an issue for the cap.

I’m also curious what they think of guys like Josh Uche. This is a bargain hunting year, so I’d like for them to take some zero/low cost swings with upside on their beliefs.

The #1 guy on the whole FA market I hoped they’d sign at expected cost. They keep acquiring my guys. I guess even an idiot like me gets on a hot streak sometimes.

I knew it was coming, but I still wish we could have made it work out. Either way, hell of a run here, and at least I like the Chargers.

I'm alright with it. Didn't expect him back. Can't pay everyone, but you do have the best OL coach in the league. Let him shine here with Steen or another cheap replacement.

Eagles always get out in front. Stingley got signed after his 3rd year. Likely to help bring his cap number down in his 5-7 years in the NFL. As the 3rd OA pick, his rookie deal for 4 year is likely worth between $8-9 million per season. Probably going to apply some of the SB in year 4 which will still keep him under a $20 mill cap charge. He's not going to cost them $30 mill against the cap during the extension.

Top players don't end up playing on their 5th year options. They end up being training/off-season programs hold ins if deals are not done before then. Howie, again, likes to get out in front of them vs how the Bengals/Cowboys operate and be the last to pay a guy at a premium position like WR or DE.

Graham was a real one. All time eagle for sure and just the perfect role model for never giving up and playing through adversity. The Brady sack is still to this day my favorite play in eagles history. As wild as that Super Bowl was, and how everyone remembers the Philly special, that was the real defining play of that game. I love that he got this city too and didn’t whine when things got tough but put the work in and became a team legend… no one would take earl thomas now…

On a side note, my dad works outside the suites for the linc as his retirement job and one of his suites is the Graham family suite and he said they are the absolute nicest people you’ll ever meet. I expect they’ll probably be keeping that suite, it sounds like he wants to stay with the team in some capacity.
