i have no idea who the guy in the Tenn shirt is..and for the life of me cannot place Kentucky's guys name in my brain lol

Tennessee is Allan Houston. Kentucky is Jamal Mashburn.

It’s an insanely strong group of college players. Pre-injury Penny, Pre-injury Grant Hill, Chris Webber, and even a guy like Rodney Rogers was a hyper athletic good NBA player for a decade.

Jordan took this personally and it's why he dominated 10 year old kids at his basketball camps with no mercy lol

The stories about how Laettner was chosen over Shaq and how everyone on every team hunted him every game are all-timers.

For those that don't know, they wanted a college guy on the team that would be happy sitting on the bench. They all knew Shaq was clearly better too.

They didn't do anything to complain about really. I'm all for ripping Harris for being cheap, but I wasn't buying given where we are. Made sense to get under the tax. Don't think we're going to miss Jackson or KJ Martin (though I don't think you had to make that move) The Caleb Martin thing was as close to selling as it was gonna get and I don't mind that trade, move off him now for a 1st and expiring contract before that deal becomes an albatross in a year or two. I liked that signing at the time but it just didn't work.

Grimes may actually help, if he sucks, who cares? And I don't think Butler is much worse than Jackson at this point, plus rather give the younger guy a shot if we're going nowhere.

Wonder if they sign anyone who gets bought out?

Per ESPN

Said Charania: “Sources tell me Ben Simmons, a three-time All-Star, and the Brooklyn Nets are working on a potential contract buyout to make him a free agent. The Los Angeles Clippers and the Cleveland Cavaliers are potential suitors for him as a free agent. I expect that Ben Simmons will try to join a contender.”

I loved Penny! And the Dream Team. And yea, that's quite the college lineup right there.

Thanks for posting that @Cody Webster ! Will definitely be checking that out.

On Hfboards, Simmons' critics were told they were embarrassing themselves and that the mean fans and media were chasing away and ruining another potential star....

Has Nurse lost the room?

You guys are 7-4 with your big 3 playing...so still lots of time to push for playoffs. 3rd easiest schedule too
Actually the team has been playing pretty well without Embiid lately. Now they just have to learn how to play with him. And PG is still figuring out how he fits in. But I mean, still half a season to go, right?

Embiid is usually a court negative when returning froma layoff. The question will be how long it lasts this return.

Embiid is now in the "Lindros zone"

Lindros became too big of a distraction to the team and it's continuity. We probably would have beaten the Devils in that fateful playoff series if Lindros hadn't returned and gotten laid out by Scott Stevens.

He’s one of those limited guys that’s hyper efficient in various metrics when he’s on the court but has never been given a real shot.

From what I remember, he’s capped by being overly reliant on his right hand? And height, of course. @Lotusflower am I remembering that one correctly?

I would guess they paid about a 2 for him. There are pluses and minuses to trading a super protected 1st for what amounts to 5 2nds.
He should be a Lowry replacement.
Swapping him and Grimes for Lowry and Gordon should be a net win...if Nurse will actually play them is another story.

I dont remember much about the right hand stuff though I do remember not loving his shooting profile coming out.
