This Mark Williams trade is fascinating. He’s been really good for Charlotte, but infrequently healthy. He should be an excellent offensive fit as Luka’s lob threat. But why has he been terrible on the other end? Was he just a good defender in college because of his size? Is it something like the back problems limiting his mobility? Is it an effort issue because the Hornets are irrelevant? Everything from never seeing the court to sizable positive impact is on the table here.

He’s one of those limited guys that’s hyper efficient in various metrics when he’s on the court but has never been given a real shot.

From what I remember, he’s capped by being overly reliant on his right hand? And height, of course. @Lotusflower am I remembering that one correctly?

I would guess they paid about a 2 for him. There are pluses and minuses to trading a super protected 1st for what amounts to 5 2nds.
