The article that Hayes put out last week which was followed up by another article a couple of days ago where he took no responsibility after Embiid’s PC? Or am I misreading?

Hayes lives on this shit. He got exactly what he wanted. He’s a scumbag and always has been. It’s good to see that the majority of media members see that Hayes is the problem here. Usually they’d have their pitch forks out already.

Between Kelce and Embiid yesterday, nature is healing. You can’t just say whatever you want about people and not have to answer for it.
Well I guess that's 7 moons ago. Not full moons but just regular moons. Was it really just last week? I swore it was in the offseason.

Either way I remember the Arthur excerpt. I'm sure Hayes will keep his job though

Yep, it was posted on 10/23. So when Embiid spoke the other day it was, I believe, the first time that he had the chance to talk on the matter. Embiid's "i've done too much for this f***ing city" rant was because of what Hayes' wrote. Hayes wasn't at that PC so I guess last night was the first time they were in same space.

Hayes has done this with countless players over the years. Hell, you're probably remembering him talking about AJ Brown and blaming him for everything for last year despite having no actual sources saying so. Making up quotes about Brett Brown. McNabb. But hey, he talked up the Flyers last year! I'm sure @JojoTheWhale has a longer list of wrongs by this man as we've talked about him for years.

Oh hell yes.

There was that time he decided Ken Griffey Jr used PEDs because he declined quickly and had soft tissue injuries. Yes, that was the whole reason.

But the biggest one was his article on Andy’s deceased son. Local and national people came out immediately afterward saying it was all made up.

“Death threats.”

In that case can you change your name to something like Bob Clarke? Last two usernames haven’t hit too well.
If a 7ft guy said that to me I would consider it akin to a death threat. He threatened to assault him even worse than the shove.

Also no need to attack me personally about my user names....

Edit: Also I am not defending Hayes, just not condoning Embiid's actions regardless of whether he has a right to be mad.

When the Sixers locker room was opened up for media access following Saturday night's game, Embiid saw Hayes enter and began shouting at him. For two to three minutes, Embiid continued to raise his voice at Hayes.

Embiid's core message: he had no issue with Hayes or anybody else in the media saying whatever they wanted about his play on the court, but he believed Hayes had crossed a line by bringing up Embiid's child and brother.

At one point, Embiid made a comment about the "consequences" that would ensue if Hayes mentioned Embiid's family again.

Embiid commented that this was not the first time he was having this issue with Hayes. Hayes told Embiid that he had never mentioned Embiid's son or brother in a story prior to the one in question.

Hayes attempted to interject a few times, but Embiid did not give him an extended chance to speak. Hayes asked Embiid if he could apologize — Hayes had said earlier in the conversation that he regretted mentioning Embiid's son and brother, and clarified that the paragraph containing the references had been removed from the column — and Embiid conveyed that he was not interested in any sort of apology.
As the confrontation appeared to be nearing its end, Embiid became physical with Hayes, putting his hands in the area of Hayes' shoulders. Hayes stumbled a couple of steps backward, maintaining his footing. Hayes did not appear to be physically harmed in any way. As soon as this occurred, three of Embiid's teammates restrained him to ensure the situation would not escalate any further.

There was no punch made or attempted by Embiid

Physical intimidation also not condoned. Again, not defending Mucous Hayes. Embiid is human but needs to have better self control and emotional intelligence not to be goaded by a dude with a lousy personal and unprofessional pattern of reporting.

f*** that, Embiid should have actually clocked him and made it worth the controversy. Instead this light shove is being blown out of proportion. Should have got his moneys worth. Hayes is pure trash.

The man got what he wanted. He wanted the confrontation.

As reporters entered the locker room to talk to players, Embiid stood and confronted Hayes.

“The next time you bring up my dead brother and my son again, you are going to see what I’m going to do to you and I'm going to have to ... live with the consequences,” Embiid said to Hayes.

Embiid continued, with several instances of profanity in the next few sentences. Hayes offered an apology, which Embiid did not want. “That’s not the f——— first time.” Embiid said.

Embiid later said that he doesn't care what reporters say. “But you do,” Hayes answered.

Embiid appeared to get louder at that point, and not long afterward pushed Hayes on the shoulder while the team’s public relations chief got between them.

So you wanted him to go to jail? What are we arguing here anymore.? No wonder this society is so janked up...

Yeah it would feel great to see pain inflicted on Mucous but then even more pain would be inflicted on Embiid and the fans but Embiid is on record as saying he was willing to live with the consequences....that is actually pretty disconcerting from your franchise leader...

Anyway, hopefully they both learn their lesson and luckily it didn't escalate further...

Marcus Hayes has all his teeth and two working hands. Embiid has the self-control of a saint.

I was taught if you don’t wanna get hit, don’t talk shit. More people should be taught that lesson especially these clowns in the media.

I’m not familiar with the Keith Pompey guy. Is he just an idiot or an intentional hack?

I don’t think there’s any malice there whatsoever. He’s doing the best he can. He’s Basketball Sam Carchidi. You’d get the same results with a Golden Retriever including the character decisions based on scent.

Wow I can't believe he escalated it further. He'll come away scot free though
