I get excited only when the top line is on the ice. Good thing Bednar plays them 25 minutes a night. I get to enjoy about half the game.

I don't think Little G has enough value league wide to upgrade from for what he brings to the team. The other 3 guys you can upgrade for an IOU.

I'm kinda done with Girard. Too small to take out a guy or out muscle him, muffin shot, mediocre vision. His only redeeming quality is he's decently good at zone entries for a defender. But he loses so many battles and it ends up creating a lot of chances for other teams.

While some of this is true....his passing and transition is missed badly when he is out. I used to think this way as well until he was out of the lineup, and we couldn't do a damn thing unless Makar and Toews were on the ice.

You want to trade G? We're not going to find an affordable upgrade there. What we need to do is upgrade the bottom pair. You're not going to find a guy that can play top 4 minutes, for his salary. At least one that isn't washed.

We're still too early on to say this definitively. I mean Mikko has 1 goal in his entire Carolina stint. They could say the same when he's been averaging over 4 shots per game with the Canes.
