PHANEUF to Ottawa in 9 player trade PART II

Haha cowen on waivers. Something we never had the balls to do unless I'm mistaken.

i'm surprised actually. I did believe he could be something useful for them. interested to see what happens to the guy now.

He was ****ing great last night. I was down low a few rows behind the Sens bench for last nights game and the nastiness he was dishing out on the Blues and how vocal and boisterous he was on the bench equally impressed me. So far, so good in my eyes. Love what he's brought so far!!!!

He definetly brings a mean-swagger and edge that this team hasn't had in one of it's skilled players (top 6 / top 4D ) in awhile.

Yeah, for sure. Really hope it rubs off on everyone. Really wish we had a Top 6 forward cut from his cloth.

I love this guy's game. Knows his strengths. Makes very smart, simple plays and sends a message with his hits. He plays a "controlled nasty" type of game we desperately needed. If we'd acquired him earlier in the season, I'm fairly certain we'd be in a playoff position.
I actually think the team has outplayed the opposition in every game he's been in even if we haven't won them all.

Well for all the flack he gets for over-committing on a big hit, you can't deny that it definitely swung the game in our favour after that.

Agreed. I'm going to start calling it the "Dion Special"

-Dion does something that ALMOST warrants a penalty; doesn't
-Player on receiving end of Dion's nastiness takes retaliatory penalty
-Dion get's in ANOTHER subtle slash/cheap shop
-Ottawa goes on the power play
