That's the pinnacle of Bruins sweaters right there. They could've copied this exactly, or brightened up the gold to modern hue, with modern font and spoked B and they'd never need another jersey ever again
Pops used to say it all the time. Born in Dorchester 1960, we moved to the South Shore in December '92 when i was in grade 2. I said it a little bit in high school/college, but not much these days.Is pissa a south shore thing? Never heard it outside of someone trying to fake a Boston accent
I was from the North Shore and a couple of my roommates in college were from the mean streets of Hingham and they were using ‘pissa’ in the early 80’s ~ first time I remember hearing this so often
Sad because they could be 6-0 very easily if they could shoot
We were big into ‘sup.
I grew up just outside of Boston and that's all we ever seemed to say.
"Let's go to the Packy. We'll get some Millahs and sneak into the Union Theater. It'll be wicked pissah"
I thought 'wicked pissah' meant very good - as in, that fight was wicked pissah.Don't quote me but I'm almost certain that the kids use "wicked pissah" these days.......
We have to remember that Lohrei is only 23 yrs old and has only played a grand total of 74 games (including playoffs) in the NHLLohrei's brain isn't connected to his feet, Kids a turnover machine even on the pp.
The risk is not worth the seldom reward he brings. But yes Ray was one of the greatest, his shot was powerful
Quinn Hughes on the Canucks is good at this.Listening to the rerun part when Ray Bourque was talking about McAvoy saying he defers to much.I also like hearing Ray talking about straddling the line looking for lane to shoot .He was awesome at that and you just don't see them do it anymore.
Does it help to know that you are not alone, at least? We were big into ‘sup.
Our slogans were
Drink till you drop & party till you puke & God forbid you got caught ‘dumping’ a beer. High school wasn’t long enough to rehabilitate that crime against coolness
I hope our lives never flash before our eyes when we die I do not need confirmation I’m an idiot and did a lot of insanely dumb stuff growing up
I'm with you. It most certainly meant wicked good.I thought 'wicked pissah' meant very good - as in, that fight was wicked pissah.
wicked pissah not usually used when describing something bad.
A woman “next” to you, eh?Nice to see you at the game @DKH
There was a woman next to me who had crushes on some of the players. I believe Sway was her #1. She kept trying to get the equipment guys attention as she wanted a sweaty towel from Swayman. They threw her one and she cried because she was so happy. It was odd.
Yea not many are anymore but he is I agree .Quinn Hughes on the Canucks is good at this.
Exactly how I feel about Z.Hey I thought it was a no brainah Chara & Bergeron walk out there. So gotta think something up.
I know it’s his life and he wanted to play but selfishly I was hoping he retired here after 20??
Going to NYI and Caps a shame especially the story his young family stayed here
Everyone’s different I admit I’d retire, hang with kids, be a Bruins ambassador and do a lot of community work for my Feed & Read Foundation, Spay & Neuter cause all in the name of the Bruins and my iconic stature
Yeh I selfishly really hate he played elsewhere
Kind of put a little cloud on an otherwise sunny career to me
I thought the same. It even looked like highlights were edited to not include him.It was sad not to see Lucic involved in the celebration yesterday, sad he wasn’t there and sad how he ended his career more than likely.
Looch will always be a favorite of mine.It was sad not to see Lucic involved in the celebration yesterday, sad he wasn’t there and sad how he ended his career more than likely.
