I never would have guessed that was Allison. He looks to be 75 years old. The guy could feather a pass.
I was also surprised guys like Samsonov, possibly.. Thornton? My personal favorite from that era was Rob Dimaio.

I actually expected guys like Jay, LB, Billy O’ Dwyer and Shoe.
I miss Samsonov, was my favourite as a kid, loved seeing small guys in that era as an undersized kid at the time.

The tale of the 2 two Charlies:

Coyle now sits at 7-1-8 and -8, odd numbers for a center (goals to assists). His improved +/- puts him ahead of Freddy and Lohrei who both have -9 now.

McAvoy, with a 2 goal, +4 game jets up to +3, tied for third best on team. His two goals were reminiscent of prime Paul Coffey. Using his great skating to score on a wraparound and a shorthanded breakaway. Don't see a defenseman out at the blue line when killing a penalty very often. but sometimes the bounce of the puck is more important than proper positioning.
