Took 30 years and many recent lean years to avoid doormat status by default. Season 31 continues? Season 32? still in PG? That drama has died down. The picks have all come to fruition, injury time has been kind and goalie luck is outstanding, Walk on goalie takes #1 spot. And the 20 's pick up last two years have been incredibly fortunate. 100 pt players?
GM / Coach Lamb has had a great run. Does the luck run out?

Probably a slow start if all the picks and prospects get time and looks at draft clubs. Heidt chance to stick with MINN? Probably slim. With Zeimer and Parascak , they should get bulk of the points and if the PP continues to be the driver like the last two seasons teams will be paying the price.

Tough not to pick again for a BC banner and getting a conference banner - finally.

Isn't Zeimmer a 20 signed to a pro contract? More often than not NHL teams prefer 20 year olds to play in the AHL. PG would be lucky to see him back.

Yes, I would not expect Zeimmer to be back in PG this season. If he does end up there at some point, second half etc, the Cougars better be thanking their lucky stars.

will depend on his rehab condition from his major injury last year. Yes, he could bounce around to see where Kings want him ultimately.

A late 20 - december. yes I see he is actually on the KINGs website roster page. Good for him. PG will be lucky if he returns.

Have we announced our roster for tonight? I'm curious as to who is actually going to be on the ice tonight as we've got so many players at nhl camps.
I think it's going to be a very watered down lineup for at least the first week of training camp until we start getting players back, but they showed very well last night from what I was able to see.

Who gets dropped? We've got Kmec/Dezainde/Valis as our other 20 year olds. Valis has 9 pts in 5 games and Dezainde has 10 in 7. Kmec also has 7 in 5.

Dezainde or Valis probably. Valis would be easier to move for PG as hes a forward and they look loaded up front.

I was thinking Valis too since he hasn't been here as long as the others, but I'd hate to be in Lamb's position right now after just naming the captains.

Vochvest trade signals Becher may be coming back. Can't see another reason why.
Dezainde getting moved hurts, good kid and just got the A, but those picks will help with a deadline add. Forwards are looking stacked.

Seems to be a nice spot to be in for Lamb actually. Hopefully he can find a deal to realize a bit of value for the guy he moves out.
And he just got a pretty decent return for Dezainde. Gotta unload the clip into this year now.

Arseni Anisimov just arrived so he'll be the second import. Would be crazy to get Becher back too but Detroit hasn't given any indication they're reassigning him.

I'm not confirming it, but I'm 90% certain Becher is currently en route to P.G. from Detroit.

So Ziemmer/Valis/Becher/Kmec. Ziemmer may be the best of the group, but do we look at trading him, as he'd get the most in return?

If that's true, then I think you'd almost have to move Valis. Then use the draft capital acquired from both him and Dezainde for a superstar or two.

Cougars fans - how concerned are you the team dropped all 3 games against Portland... some in pretty bad fashion?

I was at the game on Saturday in Portland. PG was the far better team in the first, but looked gassed in the 3rd.

Seeing how they lost those games that just screams to me that Portland is in their heads. Thankfully don't have to worry about them for awhile.
