I was thinking Buffalo would want a RHD, wasn’t sure if they would prefer Boqvist or Ceulemans. I think a small add like you mentioned is necessary for either though, probably a little less if it’s Boqvist.

You’re probably right. I’m not sure why Buffalo would move Krebs but I feel like this is what the price would be to dump skinner. I also think they should push hard after Kane

The most glaring problem with this is Buffalo isn't getting rid of a RHD for another RHD. I can't see Buffalo trading Krebs for a perceivable upgrade on the RD. I also would believe that if Buffalo traded for a RHD, they'd be looking for more of a defensive minded defencemen. A Samuelson for the right side since most of the left side are offensively minded defencemen.

Nick Blankenburg + Liam Foudy (bottom 6 C)?

I know he seems small, but he is the most physical defenseman on our team and easily has the most heart. Honestly it would suck seeing him go.

That's how he's looked the past couple of years. IMO he's a natural C and that's where he should be, even going back to Team Canada.

Coaches love his board work as a winger though.

Krebs has not played much at center. He primarily played winger.

buffalo now has Peterka and Quinn playing winger. They also have at wing….Olofsson, Skinner, Tuch, Girgrnsons, Asplund, Okposo, Hinostroza. they drafted some wingers high in 2021 draft ( ZRosen+j and have a couple other young wingers in Rochester.

their 3 1sts in the draft we’re centers. One of thrm, Savoie shouLD be expected to be on theSabres in 23/24 because his bday is Jan 1 making him CHL rights holder in 23/24.

I’ve said Krebs should go down to A to get time at center Instead of trying to do it at this level. Last year over 95% of his time at either level was at wing.

If Buffalo was going to trade him it would be for a RD around the same age and on an ELC for 23/24.

I would certainly prefer Peeke, although I seem to know who Blankenburg is, he seemed to have played in tandem with Power at the University of Michigan.

Good problem to have, imo. I’m working on my time machine to send one of ‘em back to 2015 or so, when we had zero talent anywhere.

But ya, this is tough man. We need RD, but I like all our forwards. I’m particularly high on Krebs. But I like Casey too.

Buff has no Cap concerns, no need to carry the freight to move Skinner

Let some contender, who hopes to add a goal scorer, do the heavy lifting, to acquire Skinner, by paying for retention, and paying the (likely needed) 3rd pass-through team to retain as well

The teams who pay to dump Cap are the teams with no other choice
