Rumor: Pettersson and JT Miller Part XVIII: We wont play nice in the team sandbox

EP really does sound like Youngblood before he became a man.

Kevin Lowe went to a cup final building a team. I think you are thinking of the opposite.

Meanwhile, your team is drowning and being an absolute embarrassment years on now lol
Glen sather built that team.

Lowe spent absolutely all of the team's assets for us to have that cup run and all of those assets left the following season which resulted in us missing the playoffs for the following decade.

Anyone could have done what kevin lowe did.

What little assets Edmonton had after the cup run were traded again and again each time for lesser pieces.

Kevin lowe is the embodiment of incompetence.

By the way, Vancouver isn't my team. I'm an Oilers fan. Pay attention next time you want to reply.

If Fantilli is on the table for EP, Vancouver adds. I’d want at least a 1st round pick included.

Fantilli is too valuable and underpaid for several more years. EPs contract looking suspect right now.
I could see them adding a 1st if its part of a bigger deal which I believe it would be a 5 to 6 player deal in total.

Pretty sure someone's getting traded. Management doesn't give an interview like that without following through.
During the interview Rutherford also mentioned both players are signed to contracts and the club would not accept a less than fair offer. He also added that there could be a circumstance where neither player is traded.
So, unless there’s an offer Van is good with, both players will stay. Rutherford said as much.

I get what was said, just don't think it's a good strategy after making it official.

When the Columbus GM goes to sleep at night, he dreams of Fantilli turning into a 100pt 2way C like Petey. Both are top picks with pedigree, drafted 3 slots apart. You're essentially pushing fast-forward on development.

The question is whether GMs feel Peteys down year is an abberation, and given the interest in him from shrewd guys like Tulsky, I think we know the answer to that. They see an Eichel-like opportunity.

Petey on Columbus almost certainly pushes them firmly into a playoff spot and lines the owners pocket with far more revenue than they lose taking on his salary.

We're not trading Pettersson for the sake of moving on from him, it's going to be pretty costly.

What some of you guys are projecting as a negative is what execs around the league actually value - the fact that he's locked up long term.

What has Fantilli done in the NHL to warrant a 1st on top of EP lmfao holy f*** some of the most dumb takes I've seen have come out of this thread from all sides.

The 1st would be on the Columbus side, not the Vancouver side.

I think Vancouvers GM goes to bed at night hoping for the same from Pettersson

I’m shocked that Columbus would be interested in a mercurial star like Pettersson.

They don’t have a great track record with other mercurial stars. Laine, Dubois, Carter, etc.

Offer EP for Fantilli straight up so I can say no.

Offer a package based around Sillinger so I can say no.

Fantilli is attractive because of draft pedigree, but at the same time he's been pretty bad at the NHL level. He's young obviously so still a lot of time, but most high draft picks who end up becoming studs usually show some pop right away

If it was all hunky dory then Vancouver management wouldn't be airing their dirty laundry to the public.

I want nothing to do with Pettersson.

Fantilli is currently playing 1C for a way overachieving team too. To say he's pretty bad is insane.
