Peterborough Petes 2024-25 Season Thread, Part II

McCallum one could be costly. That is not his first slew foot and they may add additional games then the two that are automatic. Taylor proved once again he is a selfish individual that only cares about himself, gets lucky hauling ( I believe Mirelli) down in second only to try again and get caught in the third which lead to their PP goal. Not sure how he’s ranked to go before Young and others when he does not back check, does not forcheck, just floats around and gets stupid penalties 50 ft from the play. He’s good for Penalty shots but beyond that forget about it. you might be able to get some bodies back in a trade.

If they could find anyone to take Taylor it would be a great trade. No matter the return. Not the type of player who will be a big part of a winning team. And would you want young players being influenced by that? And seeing that he never gets punished by the coaches for his selfish and lazy play?

If their history is any indication, the Petes will probably play well tonight and get the win. It seems like when they're just about at the point of "officially" being written off (which would likely be the case if they lose in regulation tonight) they show up and play a good game. Let's hope Rye stands on his head tonight. He'll need to.

McCallum bonehead play no doubt. Maybe he will learn from this, but likely not. Needs to learn how to control his emotions. I think he needs to start figuring out how to contribute to the team on the score sheet rather than spending all his time being a rat out there. There is a good player somewhere inside that kid. Taylor could use some of McCallums spunk out there as he just seems checked out if he’s not scoring. Maybe those 2 could reverse roles lol

Taylor plays zero defence and is only focused on offence and it shows with his -30 third worst in the league and he’s not even a defenceman. Haven’t seen much of a improvement from last year pretty disappointing only 3 more points so far then he had all last year
