This one imo shouldn’t have counted. I have no idea what’s the difference between that one and last nights
The one last year had a pass while the net was off before the shot. Last night was just a shot.

Also London on the other side of the call...

Agreed, look how’s he turned out. He’s on fire and there’s no way he’s the same player if he were still a Pete
I’m not a big Wilson fan but I think Lardis would still be one of the top players if he were here. Let’s not forget Tucker Robertson and JR Avon turned out just fine with their whole OHL career under Wilson.

Don’t get me wrong, I think every player should know how to be defensively responsible but you got to let players play. It’s hard to get momentum or any flow/chemistry when you know your handcuffed as soon as your step on the ice. I say let them play and then make the players accountable for when they make mistakes. Players who don’t compete, or don’t back check, make them sit a period.

To me, Lardis was a situation of going from mostly third, sometimes second-line minutes to top-line time. He needed the ice time. Even having won the championship that year, in part due to that trade, I still think it was unfortunate at the time because of how much we gave up in one player.

One of my biggest criticisms of Wilson over the years has been his management of playing time for the younger players. Obviously, that's not as much of an issue later in last season forward to this season outside of goaltending. I felt the same way about Alfano, although he hasn't had quite the same pickup in his game as Lardis has.

Also Nick Lardis often played left wing with Peterborough and even though he is a left shot he contributes more offensively when he plays at right wing.

It would be wonderful to see some accountability. Also for needless penalties. Doesn't seem to be Wilson's style, however.

(Edit) PS: It wasn't Hull's style either. Coaches love to talk about accountability but then do nothing about it, it's not just Wilson.
