Does Nate oke have a clue how to run a powerplay? Every single game they give up short handed chances it’s insane. You just knew Kingston would tie it up
Not sure what Nate Oke really brings to the team, last season 16.3% on PP, this season 14% and trending in the wrong direction and he certainly does not preach defence because they are usually as high or higher than the forwards leaving the goalie all alone with two opposing players either screening or tipping pucks. There’s no way he can be here much longer

I've not been a fan of Nate Oke's since he first appeared on the bench. Powerplay needs a lot of work. His shenanigans are embarrassing. Nobody acts like that. The player do not listen to him. Nate Oke brings nothing to this team. He needs to go

Hey Petes fans, I'm a Rangers fan that went to see them in Kingston & Ottawa as well as going to the 4 Nations Faceoff, it was quite the trip! I also have 2 tickets for today's Petes-Rangers game but it doesn't make sense to go because I'm taking the via train home among other reasons. Anyone want the 2 tickets for $30 total? I think I got them for $17 each so I'll give a bit of a deal. I rarely use hfboards so if there's a way to DM me do that or just comment below if interested.

I’ve never seen or heard a coach let alone a assistant coach scream and yell like he does it’s a little over the top

Might as well give them away for free. 2 free tickets to see your Petes get crushed by the Rangers. Sorry I don't have enough tickets to give away for a family but maybe for a couple or Parent-Kid activity. First person who contacts me by DM or in comments, I'll send you them.

I agree. I feel he doesn’t act with the decorum his position affords. He is an assistant coach of one of the oldest junior franchises and acts like a fool on the bench.
He doesn’t seem to be in control of his emotions and I feel this out of control conduct does not set a good example for our young lads.

Well they just missed a dirty elbow to the head of Adonovski from McCallum there. If they reviewed that he’s probably suspended again
For how long he stayed down he sure missed a lot of shifts. From my angle here it looked like he skated past so can’t say but Adonovski sure sold that he was seriously injured to miss 0 shifts before going out and trying to hack Bryant in half and somehow nearly got away with it till Bryant gave him a shot back.

Definitely a clear elbow to the head at minimum should have been a 2 but easily could have reviewed that and tossed him. Again not very smart play by McCallum

Well for Pete's sake! I was wrong about the crushing. Sorry Petes fans and all those named Pete or Peter. Kudos on the comeback. Tough one to swallow for us. Canada almost did that in the 4 Nations game but luckily we have Crosby. Too bad nobody enjoyed my tickets but I realized the seats weren't even together so that wouldn't have made sense anyway. As a Rangers fan I enjoyed cheering you guys on in the 2023 Memmer so you're still maybe my 2nd or 3rd fave team. Safe drive home

Crazy how good job security is for officials in this league...
This "knee" is what I was referring to here for anyone who's seeing this late.
Caught skates, goal called back, kneeing penalty, Kitchener scores on the powerplay.

Yeah, looks like he caught him with the number on the arm, couldn't see it from the angle I was sitting. I'd imagine Adonovski missing all of 5 seconds of playing time before returning to treat Bryant like a chopping block will keep anything extra off him but who knows.

Mercer also got away with a pretty good boarding into an elbow to the head on McCallum later in the period as well that didn't get called.

They also missed a high stick right before the 3rd Kitchener goal.

The Kitchener coaches were throwing higher temper tantrums at the refs but they were gifted goals in the first.

I can't really see the stick on the replay but it looks like the ref is looking at the puck behind the net so wasn't even looking at it.
The Peterborough Petes have been an improved team as the season has progressed. They were 0-11-1-3 in the first fifteen games of the season and have been 16-21-1-2 after the fifteen losses to start the season. They have been 9-11-1-0 in the second half of the season
16 wins doesn't sound like something to applaud, but when it's in the context of that start it's not too bad at all. 6 of the wins against the West. 9 against teams that are in the top half of the league (including 2nd and 5th twice). In the 10 games against the other teams that are currently out of the playoffs, they've only won 2 games, one against Guelph and one against Ottawa. Still, not mathematically out of the playoffs but I think it's capped at a tie for 7th right now if the team goes on a heater.

Also kinda crazy to think that with that start to the season, there are currently six teams with fewer points in the CHL.

The remarkable story this year is that for a last place team, the Petes are not only a very tough team to play against but they are beating very good teams. Kitchener and Kingston are older, skilled teams and we beat them even when they are jockeying for home ice in playoffs.

I assume Fitzgerald is either done for the season or close to it. What a shame and I hope he recovers 100% . Wrist injuries can be difficult to heal.

Yep. And even though they were bad that first 15 games, they didn't deserve to lose all those games. Realistically they could/should have won 3 or 4 of them. And then they'd likely only be a point or 2 out of the playoffs.
