I think he's no longer on Kloten active roster. He isn't good enough as a foreign player in our championship, we have high expectations for foreign players that come in our championship considering that only 4 non-swiss players are allowed per team. And he simply didn't live up to those expectations. He struggled a lot, he did score some goals but in the empty net.. So no, I don't think he'd play in Montreal.

Of course if all of this is true it could explain why NHL teams would take a pass on the guy. Maybe his concussions may have caused him to play too guarded and with too much restriction. Needs to play with desperation to be successful. I think there's still a good young hockey player I there but he must need some strong guidance and direction.

I'm not sure he's a better player than Martin St-Pierre at this point.

Yeah! Let's trade for Yakupov and Burmistrov and sign Mueller and lure Filatov, ...then call up Aliu because he looked good in the Top Prospects game that time.

We'd finally have the character and winning attitude Bergy talks about.

Maybe there's a reason why 30 NHL GMs, backed by a team of professionnal scouts, all passed on him?

Have you seen him play a lot? Or are you mostly basing your opinion on stats?

You can say the exact same thing about Martin St. Louis, so I'm not sure I would use that as evidence a player isn't worth a look.

Hell, I'd like the Habs to take a chance on this guy, not sure you guys know what you are talking about when you call this guy a bust. He's been injured for most of his career. He's a highly skilled big center that would come as a high risk-high reward player. We are not talking an elite player here or anything but 50-70pts wouldn't be out of the question if and I know it's a big if, but if he could stay healthy. I mean I'd prefer a more rugged player for sure but if this guy came dirt cheap I think he's worth a one year trial.

I am in total agreement..........:)

Yes, I know that Mueller isn't really worth it at this point but a 1 year deal for 1m or 1,5m would be nice. I just think he deserve another shot, at 25 years old, you don't just say okay im retiring from hockey. Im just saying production is hard in Phoenix or Florida who barely have 50 points scorers every year.

I haven't seen him play that much besides a few highlights and WJC 20 when Price won the gold. Btw, he is good at shootouts which is something we always have to evaluate today.

He doesn't have bad skating unlike Latendresse and can shoot the puck so I don't see any major flaw in his game. If he had more toughness to his game and was less injury prone, he would basically the type of center we always wanted in Montreal.

Now, injury prone isn't really his fault, it's like taylor hall. He's had a few concussions because of bad hits but he is still playing. He hasn't ended his career lol.Soft? Ok now you tell me GIonta, DD, Briere, Diaz aren't Soft?
