Just finished with my 1st playthrough of Reload. Great game.
I liked what they added in that was not there from the original.
I'll take some time away from it now though before I do my 2nd playthrough to complete the Platinum trophy.

Persona 4 Remake Announcement Looking Likely After Domain Discovered

A domain name discovery leaves us to believe a Persona 4 Reload Remake announcement might be arriving in the next few months.

There have been rumors about 6 for a few years now, it wouldn't surprise me to see both 4 Remake and 6 announced at the Xbox showcase next week.

Remaking 4 Golden is such a waste of time. I'll still buy it like a sucker, barring some massive changes by localization, but 4 holds up perfectly fine.

Apparently it's because the old team is now on other projects like Metaphor. Atlus handed the reigns to a less experienced team and doing these remakes is a way for them to get some experience before tackling the next game.

From what I understand the old studio heads of P-Studio (dev team for Persona 3-5) made their own team for Metaphor (Studio Zero) while P-Studio made P3R.

P-Studio has a history of working on multiple projects at once, I would be shocked if Persona 6 is not deep in development at this point.

P4 Golden is on the PS Store if you want to play it on your console. Same with P3 as well (not the P3 Reloaded version)

I'm like everyone else in that I'll be the sucker and buy the P4 remake, but the wait is definitely getting annoying, even by Atlus standards.

I guess this has always basically been the MO, but there not even being a teaser trailer is a little insane. I guess the optimistic interpretation is that given how long it took between P5's announcement and actual release, they don't want a repeat, but P6 is basically just something I am entirely writing off for the time being. Maybe this is an unfair example, but I'm sure we'll see the final FF7 before P6.

There was a two year gap between P3 and P4. Then an 8 year gap between P4 and P5, but there's no way the leap graphically/technically from P4 to 5 is going to happen again from 5 to 6.

Persona 4 happened quickly because they were reusing assets from Persona 3 and the PS2 was at the end of it's shelf-life. But games were also smaller back then so they could manage that.
