I don't get it. Even now, before the tournament (World Cup of Hockey) has started, people are stating their opinions as a fact that it will be an embarrassment if the team (insert name, mostly Canada or Sweden though) doesn't easily win the whole tournament. And why, you ask? Because, on PAPER, in their mind they are AINEC the best team, and they should win 100% of the time. Real life, however, just doesn't work that way.
Why can't people just grasp the fact that the supposedly best roster on paper isn't necessarily the best team on ice? Are the masses blinded by the stats and point totals? How come a lackluster team like Finland seems to always find their way into the semis?
