Forgot Hallander, Zoho, Legare and Poulin were playing. They've got all the drive and urgency of guys who have already been told they're going to WBS.

Fingers crossed that a full season in WBS does these fellas some good cuz, uh, we're lookin' at a buncha Tangradis right now.

At the risk of starting a wildfire of responses, I think Simon's been pretty good all pre-season. His skating looks better than I remember it being and he's *gasp* finishing chances. Wouldn't mind him on the 4th line, and I think Sully probably didn't even need as impressive a showing as he's given to give him the nod.

Zohorna and Lafferty lines look like doing something. Boyle and Gruden lines don't. I'm not saying DOC suddenly looking great on the PP away from Boyle is entirely about that, but...

Not that the first two lines are amazing. But there's guys in the right place and guys who can make plays. Incidentally Poulin's in the right place a lot and fanning on his plays a lot.

Matheson is a cut above the other guys out there to an obnoxious degree. Quite like Fedun. Riikola is Matheson-lite in virtues and Matheson-heavy on flaws. POJ does some nice things but isn't imposing himself on this level of competition like Matheson.

POJ looks like he is overthinking everything tbh. Every pass is in a dude’s skates.

God damn DOC has some Rust vibes but with size.

Alright. Pre-season was about as big a snoozefest as I thought. On to the regular season. Hope the coaching staff is solid in WBS cuz by the looks of things a lot of these guys need some real developing before they're realistically anywhere on the radar of making the big club.

DOC looks solid though. Again, reminds me of Kuhn a bit; probably gonna end up being a 4th liner but has some sneaky skill to contribute offensively when he ends up with chances.

Puustinen looks way better than I expected him to. Good.

Still, I expect him to have some struggles in WBS this season. Mostly from being away from home and adapting to the NA life. Not like Michel Ouellet struggles.
