It looked like Malkin was taking the faceoffs but Novak was playing the center role on that line in the first period.
Damn, fly Matt Cullen in for a few weeks to teach that kid how to win a face-off if Geno of all people is getting the circle before him.

Rupp is impressed with Gryz doing something most teams do normally on defense except the Pens struggle at basics in Sullys system so it's impressive to him.

Have to say that Jarry is playing well, but Minn has a pretty bad lineup too
They're still better than the Pens. So it's a good save. Mate, it's ok.

Look at me, it's ok. It's gonna be ok.

Just say it with me...

"That was a good save by Jarry and he's been good so far today."

Then just take a deep breath and count backwards from 10.

Kris is awesome and I love his time as a Penguin but the bloke has had multiple strokes and his fall off has been f***ing steep this year, I kind of hope he just goes LTIR'd after this season and sticks around the team.

He's athletic freak. He will piece out when he is done fast but it would be nice if he help some of the prospects with training.

Yeah that's what I mean with being LTIR'd for like a stroke precaution or some bs, Dubas can ask Chicago, Tampa, and Toronto how to fake the reason, maybe allergic to the shampoo supplier to the Pens or some shit.

Then have him around the team as a development coach unofficially to the young D.

You're probably right. And I hate it.

Million dollar question.

Jarry plays so good you can move him in the summer with no retention but the penguins draft 14th overall.

Or

Jarry continues awful play. Penguins get 4th overall but you have to buyout Jarry in the summer.

Which do you pick?

Easily 2. Not even a fraction of a second of thought. This team's goal should be to lose badly, and dead cap sucks but it's not the end of the world for a bottom 5 team. /shrug

I like option 3 from above. They lose every game 2 - 1 with Rickard scoring in every game assisted by Karlsson. Best of both worlds
