Heathen.

If Dubas does anything at all to move this team towards competing next season and jarry is still the goalie, I will give him a wet Willy
The goaltending is the most intriguing storyline for the Pens this off season because Jarry is pretty untradeable and Murashov is knocking loudly on the doors.

I feel like the most likely scenario is TJ/Ned start the year in net because what the hell else can the Pens do apart from burying TJ again in the minors and signing someone else.

Beyond that the Doobler will probably sign a few one year vet deals and McGroarty and Koivunen will start the year on the big club barring terrible camps.

Marner won't come here imo. He doesn't love Sid *that* much lol

lol..might happen…who’s in goal?

From ChatGPT
If Sidney Crosby somehow scored 272 goals in a single game against the Blackhawks, the universe as we know it would probably have glitched like a video game with cheats turned on. Here's how wild that scenario would be:

The Media Reaction:

  • Breaking News on literally every sports outlet, probably with headlines like:
    • "CROSBY UNLEASHES THE HOCKEY APOCALYPSE"
    • "272 GOALS? IS CROSBY EVEN HUMAN?"
  • Debates would erupt about whether the Blackhawks fielded a real team or cardboard cutouts.

Stats Gone Berserk:

  • His goals-per-game average would spike like a crypto coin.
  • He’d instantly win the Rocket Richard Trophy, Hart Trophy, and possibly a Nobel Prize for physics violation.
So, if it did happen? We’d be questioning everything. Physics. Sports. Reality. Time.
And Crosby? He’d be crowned the undisputed GOAT of Earth, Mars, and the multiverse.

Wischusen is excellent. Just the consummate professional broadcaster.

He brings energy to the game he calls. McDonagh sounds annoyed he’s even there. Was never a big fan of his monotone style when he calls CFB games but ever since he went out of his way to shit on Indiana while the SEC shit the bed in the CFB playoffs he can get f***ed.

I'd assume that'd be one of Marner's main reasons for coming here: to ride shotgun to Sid.
Yeah, the logic behind the argument is that Pittsburgh is less of a pressure cooker than Toronto, that he has an established relationship with Dubas and believes he'll be taken care of, and that he wants to learn to elevate his game from someone he admires and has a positive relationship with in Sid.

That and the Pens have plenty of cap to offer him a lucrative contract.

Is it likely? Probably not. But it's at least plausible.

I think the east may be trash for a little while yet. The balance of power has shifted to the west.

Boston is clearly trending down. The Flyers and Sabres are rudderless despite some young talent. The Islanders won't get anywhere with Lou at the helm. The Rangers are primed to fully implode, and Dolan is an impulsive owner.

Make a few smart moves, add in an aggressive move or two, and continue to develop the youngsters, and it's easy to feel optimistic about a quick turnaround. No guarantees. Could easily fall apart, too. But it's easy to envision how it might all fall into place.
whoa, wait, Flyers are in this discussion? Anywho, I have big plans for the 50th Anniversary remembrance later this spring. Seems like yesterday....

f***ing Dallas. Had one damn job. They decided to take the Pens easy and gave the Pens reporter shitbirds an opportunity to inflate Sullivan's shitty ego during a season that's another write off with him.

I think the Flyers are going to bounce back huge next season with just not having Torts. The issue with Buffalo is trash ownership with a puppet GM and the wrong coach.

The joke of the East are the Penguins and will be for a very long time with the way they refuse to acknowledge coaching as a problem. Buckle the f*** in mate, the shit show isn't even half way through, we've got years before it ends.

Even the Rangers will figure their shit out faster and so will the others. The Pens will be bottom feeders with Sullivan and FSG. The dynamic duo of Turdness.

It sucks that they're f***ing over their draft position by winning meaningless games in April but at least they've been fun to watch these past couple. I'm pleasantly surprised by how easily Sid seems to have accepted playing with McG on his line, and how natural a fit McG seems to be right off the bat. Feels a lot like the Sid-Kunitz style and chemistry tbh.

Sid has been so damned good the past month or so. Makes ya wonder what we would have seen if the Pens were going to the playoffs.
I think a fair question is, where is this all of a sudden coming from? I believe I know.

We've seen this kinda thing before in different sports. When there's no pressure on a team to succeed, that's exactly what they do.

BUT, When the pressure is on, they wilt, they're yellow and they fail!

Their opponents really don't take them seriously enough, they play their back up goalies. Almost like they're taking pity on them. But, when they show up to play the team that's you know actually good, dropped their guard too much. Sometimes it's hard to get the momentum back.

Definitely think the pens are a "trap game" now for a lot of good teams.
