good win, but I don't get too excited about wins when your best player is your goalie xGA 2.57, don't think you killed it out there...

gave up too many open look in the second and first ten minutes in third...

L1 drive chances, but also gave up too many
L2 can't drive plays, I thought Geno was good, but he is who he is at this point, his assists/60 lowest ever,
Smith and Rakell are the biggest dissapoints, if they play like they were suppose to, it would be different
Eller was good, Jesse OK, nothing jumped out
Poor Acciari, that was a nasty dirty hit

A lot of good things from that game, but Jarry covered up some warts. I’m not sure if we should trade Smith for help for Geno or an LD to bump Graves to third pair.
Easily L2 wing imo. Finishing and L2 scoring is a problem. Might get a helpful PP1 winger out of it.
Defense is not a problem. 5th in the league.

Blokes would rather see this team win and barely miss or barely make it and get wrecked in the first round to see Jake get some idiotic extension than actual progress.

I mean good reaction for the dirty hit, also glad Jarry had a great game but the implications of this irk me. It just validated Dubas and his idiotic goal post moving and think that maybe this team should be buyers.

Yes waste more assets to not fix it because Sully is gonna Sully, so they can ignore players they drafted for these purposes. It's honestly what this team deserves.

So odd how this team handles very good teams from the Western Conference.

But then puke themselves vs Ottawa.

Crazy Monahan got a first. Barely noticed him.
Not sure why Colorado gave up that much for a guy with a 1.5 points per 60.

Not like they needed Monahan for the PP. Where he is pretty good.
Tristan Jarry leads the league in shutouts, top 10 on goals against average, and 13th in save percentage.

Great contract, right?
And played like 80% of the game in another Shutout.

Tell me you started watching the Pens in the Crosby era without telling me you started watching the Pens in the Crosby era.

Good win. Took an Acciari nose to win, but still solid. Great goaltending, as usual.

One thing has been bothering me all season tho, Karlsson is terrible at keeping the puck in the zone on his strong side. Good god, Steve Poapst or Dan Focht made that play more consistently. It's like he is still nervous or something. Unreal. Puck bounces here or there, sure. Excuses can be made. But this is too regular.

Puustinen's not good enough for top-six yet and Smith is playing disheartened hockey.
If they plan to make an attempt at winning a round then they gotta do something here.
Malkin needs more support.

Loss was Winnipeg's fourth straight, and Pens get them again Saturday. Also get the struggling Wild, potentially against Fleury on Friday.

I'd play Ned Friday and Jarry Saturday. Jarry's ridiculous numbers against Winnipeg got even better tonight. He's clearly got some sort of magic over them.

We're 10-3-0 vs Winnipeg in the Sullivan era. Don't think we dominate anyone more. Maybe only Arizona.

Gimme Buchnevich
I'm all aboard there.

Whyyyyyy do they have such good games when it's a family get together night with additional circumstances that can't be replicated????

I wasn't sure how they'd fare with the long layoff, glad they meant business tonight.

Happy to eat a big plate of crow on this one. I wanted no part of that contract in the summer, but he has played well, with the occasional stinkers, but the outstanding performances speak for themselves. I’m sure Ned pushing the bar with his play has helped too.
