GDT: Pens vs Blues (8PM EST)

Infuriating watching Rakell carry us to victories down the stretch instead of having a top 5 pick, 1st round pick, and top prospect! Yay Kyle!

Dewar, Graves and Acciari in OT.... Like, it's wide open... Is Crosby not allowed to play shorthanded in OT? f*** this coach is just the absolute worst.

Letang is shocked when they finally call him for a penalty because he's subscribed to the method of commit multiple penalties every shift because they won't call every single one.

Even with the OT point tonight, it was a pretty good night from a draft perspective for the Penguins. Both Ottawa and Montreal won, which is putting more pressure on the Rangers for a playoff spot. Would have been amazing if Columbus would have won as well. Anaheim getting a point or better tonight would make their OTL point pretty irrelevant as well.

Boston looks to be in total free fall and will almost definitely finish ahead of the Penguins. That said, good results for getting the Rangers pick plus a fine results in getting the OTL.

Are we prepared to have the conversation about Sullivan almost immediately using two young, inexperienced, players in high leverage situations?

I think Sullivan’s refusal to not play young guys over the past few years is driven more by “these guys suck ass”, while he thinks McGroarty and Koivunen are actually good and warrant those opportunities. It’s never been about Sullivan not liking young guys, it’s about him not liking specifically the young guys the Penguins have had in the past few years.

Which you can definitely criticize Sullivan for not being willing to give young guys more of a chance to show they don’t suck, he’s also been largely right about those guys sucking based on what they’ve done since. Weird situation where he was proven right, but he still didn’t give them a fair chance to prove him wrong.

Blues underestimated Pens' resilience.
They underestimated Sullivans resolve. He will play balls to the wall until the end. The last minute of the 3rd period exemplifies that trait that Sullivan instills in the team. Never give up, no matter what!

Players who do nothing, or are actively terrible and should not be on the team next season: Hayes, Heinen, Acciari, Graves, Letang and Jarry…that’s like 25% of the team lol

Pens are drafting 5-8 this year just get used to it. McGroarty 2 points and Koivunen first point, just be happy ffs
I'll be happy when ownership and management are paving the way for a Cup, not pushing to become a bubble team for the next 10-20 years.

Glad for the kids though. Nice to see more players play with hunger and hope. That's how sports should be.
This situation is not on them. They're just doing their jobs.

I think they'll be 6-7 before the lotto.
They're in 8th, they just earned a point against a team they should have lost to in regulation. They'll be lucky to stay in the top 10. Forget 6th or 7th. You need to look at our schedule and the schedule of the teams around us. 6th OA is a pipe dream.
