I can't wait until the mantra is "You gotta let Dubas see the development of his picks through! You gotta give him until 2035 at least."
I'm generally not a Dubas hater and would be defending him if it was a 2027 2nd. I don't care about an extra year of waiting. I care that he sold early on a guy that should have brought back a better pick.

I don't think it's a given that Eller would get more at the deadline at his age. Didn't he slow down pretty heavily the second half of last season?

Maybe fair. But this is also within the division and it's happening before Sullivan. So I'm still calling it a loss - the only thing Kyle seems capable of.

Kyle is utterly out to lunch on this team and has been since taking over. Nothing he's done has had any resemblance to building success - only excuses. As bad as the situation may have been (I don't think it really was considering our cap space PLUS the prospect of cap space upcoming) when he took over for Hextall- the fact that this team won't even sniff a wildcard spot during his tenure is downright pathetic and should not earn him the right to usher in ANY form of whatever the team will look like post-Sid/Geno era. He squandered the ball, big time and has done nothing but sit on his ass and watch it unfold.

f*** the mandate man. This organization's become delusional, sleepy and directionless.
It's time to return to being ambitious. Crosby is not winning a 4th Cup in Pittsburgh in any timeline.
The sooner they accept that, the better off they'll be.
Do you think trading an asset for a futures asset 2 years down the road with no premium is ambitious? Why?

That's the worst part of this deal. The guy who Dubas inevitably replaces him with is going to suck so much balls and make us hate this team even more.
Don't worry, they'll only have 4 more years left on their deal. Kyle's phone is likely blowing up with GM's looking to pawn off their summer mistakes on the class idiot.

No retention being used is nice. Probably being saved for Pettersson
Why on earth would we need to retain Eller and his 2.45 million sweetheart contract?
He's one of the best 3Cs available out there, maybe the best?

How the f*** are people still giving Dubas the benefit of the doubt?
Dude has yet to make a single good move

This is ambitious?

Lets have a real wild time and microwave a glass of milk and catch a Bob Ross marathon.
