So let's bring in a GM we know won't do much anything rash because the last gm was on a spending over buying spree and wanted to move a 'core' player(s) against our demands.
GM good because he does nothing.
GM starts doing something and is just awful.
--goodbye
Hey, let us actually bring in a GM who doesn't need us to get involved and we can trust to make moves and build a team.
--Bring in actual GM.
GM makes moves, starts building team --- OH... hey... about this guy... we don't care what you think and all but he should really stay here if you catch our drift..... So new guy, not wanting to ruffle feathers instead of take control of the team and situation, bows down to old heads (who should not be listened to) are listened too and instead of being an alpha dog gm... submits.

What's the point. Still handcuffed on certain players and moves...

Did Jarry's local UK cheerleader negotiate this contract?
Maybe the world is wrong and it's all Sullivan's fault.

Unfortunately for TJ, the Dubas -> "Sully" connection most likely means J4rry -> contract dump if he continues to play as poorly as he has lately.

That hatred Jarry gets from Penguins fans really just shows that Penguins fans need something to complain about, even if it requires making up nonsense to complain about them.

I can understand wanting to go a new direction due to Jarry's injuries, but the stuff said about him on this website is just insane.

The most baffling thing to me is condemning Jarry for his one and only playoff series being bad and then in the same breath saying they’d like to have had MAF back as if he wasn’t the embodiment of playoff meltdowns and failures

No matter what any opinions of him are, term wise, its a horrible deal. He hasn't proven anything other than either falling off or getting injured by end of the year. He also posted the 2nd worst statistics in a playoff series in Pens history next to Fleurys 2012 debacle.

There was a poster on another thread who mentioned long term injured list. That's also where I see this going by the end of it. I say he plays roughly 55% of this deal.

On the other hand, his inconsistencies (and injuries) could land us some sweet picks later on. We'll see!

The main board is doing a best goalie in the league poll and Jarry is 9th. We have the ninth best goalie locked up for the foreseeable future. Pens future is bright.

Jarry is a top 10 goalie if he's healthy. The issue is his recovery is suspect and he hasn't done anything to earn this contract

Pens don't need great goaltending, they need someone they can trust to play with any kind of consistency

“Jarry hasn’t proven anything”

Except for the fact that he 10th in goalies in save% while being 9th in games played among goalies in the last 4 years. But yeah, he hasn’t proven anything!

Penguins fans on this site can’t help just going full stupid regarding any whipping boy they have. There are legitimate issues with Jarry, why do you have to make up stuff to complain about? Jarry is a bonafide, proven starting goalie that has been consistently above average in his NHL career. He has also regularly broken down as the season has gone on (but he’s still decent later in the year, just not nearly as good as he is to start the year) and has a short but terrible playoff track record.

You don’t need to rewrite history and act like Jarry is this awful goalie to say you wish they wouldn’t have signed him.

He's too damn streaky though. When he's on he's great.

That's why averages suck. Consistency is better.

You can consistently be a B student

Or you can be A+ and C- and average to a B

One is way more annoying

The pens are really streaky too. Love when the top six all score in a 8 goal blowout

Then do nothing for three games

Jarry has a quality start% of 61% in the last 4 years, which is substantially above average in the NHL. Anything above 60% is considered good and 53% is league average.

Since that was directed at me. I'll tell you why you're the one going full stupidy with this one.

"Injarry has proven"...he goes full pumpkin when the games matter late in the year.

Stop defending this Krispy cream, once the injarrys start piling up, he's going to get progressively worse statistically .
