At least there's a ton of empty seats. FSG HAS to see and care about that.
It was Halloween night against a team nobody gives a shit about……..and it super fricken nice out.

Yay.
Everything is fine now.
Those 3 breakaways and incredible saves in the last 2:30 would have been the nail in the coffin. What bothers me it always happens when he puts his “defensive lines” that are suppose to close the job, incredible, they never gonna learn the lessons+ Ned stole this one at the death. 3 giant saves.
+ Sid moving his legs again and acting like a Captain
+ Rakell. All over it tonight, and the night before.
+ Pretty close to a 60-minute effort, albeit against a weaker, tired team at the end of a road trip
+ Improved team defending, although that's largely a result of facing the Ducks I think
+ This was one of Bunting's best games. Played hard all night. Deserved a point.
+ Pettersson's best game defensively. No question.
- Throwback shooting night, although give Dostal credit too. He's insane this year.
- Those late breakaways and golden chances given up with a minute or two left. They're lucky they even got a point. How can you be that sloppy at the very end, when all you have to do is stay structured for one more minute?
- Puljujarvi scratched and possibly lost to waivers soon. Wasteful, stupid.
- Letang had like 3 really bad errors where he mishandled the puck in fairly vulnerable positions. Lucky the Ducks didn't take advantage.
- I'd like to see Karlsson attack the middle ice more. When he's moving laterally at speed, straddling the blue line, he's often going so fast that he can just blow by guys and penetrate down low. He can create odd-man situations with lost assignments. He did a lot more of this when he got 100 points. It's been coached out of him.
A team like ours who are probably gonna have bad finishing again need that out of their 10M guy. They need high danger backdoor plays.
There's only a handful of teams in the NHL that are designed to lose games.
Anaheim Ducks are one of them. I have no idea what that Franchise is planning but how long they going to stay bad?
+Ned for saves
+ CROSBY 2 goals.

Sullivan thinks after being burned for the thousandth time, the players will really start buying in and playing the game the right way.
It's flat out unexplainable how this coach can't reliably protect a lead. Hell he couldn't protect a 3-1 series lead a few seasons ago.
3 million above the floor says otherwise.Nah. Ducks are trying to be competitive now.
Id encourage any students here to take advantage of that. Its a great way to see multiple hall of famers on the ice. If you're a new fan, this will make you a bigger one.
When I first read this I read it as Sullivan taking a maintenance day.
Just saw this…let’s hope he’s just hungover from the Halloween party lol…otherwise he ain’t lasting 82 games being F1 on L1 lol…put him back at 2C…

Go for it. I'm in my mid 30s, and my friend of the same age got the tickets because he still had his email from nursing school. The only real requirement is you need a .edu email address. I think once you sign up on the penguins website for student rush, they send you a text message on the day of a game (I think around 10 or 11 am) that tickets are on sale. I believe from there you go to the link they give you, pick your tickets, and you're all set. There is no student ID required. As a man in my 40's with gray hairs who's taking a graduate degree online, I'm going to try this and see what happens.
I don’t think McGroarty comes back until next year and I think that’s ok. He needs the offseason to improve his skating, and he’ll get a lot more time every game to develop in the AHL. Pickering also needs another year before the NHL, imo.I think this could be a likeable team tbh but Sullivan makes it disgusting.
Maybe later in the season after the trades we get some kind of combination of this…
McGroarty - Crosby - Rakell
Koivunen - Malkin - Rust
Bunting - Hayes - Puustinen
Lizotte - Poulin - Pono
Graves - Letang
Pickering - Karlsson
Aho - St Ivany
They’ll suck. But at least you got some young players that are exciting.
It’s either the players aren’t listening or they don’t actually game-plan for specific situations. Being tied up with 5 minutes to go after having lost 6 games in a row and you have your dmen playing all aggressive in the NZ and OZ. They were playing like they were down 2 or 3 goals.Sullivan thinks after being burned for the thousandth time, the players will really start buying in and playing the game the right way.

That said, I wish Brunicke got more of a look. I thought he earned at least a couple games.
anyone?Missed the game. How did they look defensively tonight? I see some praise in the comments for Ned and calling out our D. Were we still bleeding chances and they only got one through?
I was off and on watching because of Halloween, but they gave up 3 incredible chances in the last 5 minutes of regulation. They could have easily lost based on that alone.anyone?
