If Dubas is smart and really different than our last GM, he should be working the phones to move Rakell and Bunting right now while they're both hot.

If Dubas was smart he'd fire Sullivan tonight. But he's not.

Painfully mid. Obviously the team sucks if Glass is your 2C but you can’t lose that

Not even mad. This is a team that is a mixture of old and journeymen.

Crosby and the names still have talent, and yes still compete, even fairly hard at times.

But, by coming back they chose to end their careers without another legit shot at a Cup.

They should be mentors on an up and coming team who has stockpiled firsts and need to learn to win.


But, they made their choices.

And I have made mine. To not get too excited or upset.

You miss the playoffs by 1-2 points, you start to remember the "little things" like Rust missing that last second opportunity.

I'd love a reporter to ask Sullivan: "The shootout seems be a legitimate problem for this team. Any plans on actually practicing it?"

I really can't tell you which PGH head coach i hate the most. Tomlin and Sullivan are rather similar, but there's something to be said about the special kind of dumbass Derek Shelton is for the Pirates. Dark times.

The GM and the coach have two entirely different objectives. The GM would love to sell off, while the coach wants to extract every single point possible. I think the next 10 games tips the scales favorably for the GM.

Remember, he's open for business. IF he trades Rakell, that'll be it. We don't have many wingers scoring goals. Remove him and that'll send shock waves through the core. Hopefully they then will take the hint and ask out.

You lose three consecutive games like we have, with the Oilers coming in, who have only allowed five goals in their previous four games, well, it would take a lot for PIT to compete.

Just ONE more bad stretch and it's over!

Funny story - I was just thinking how surprising it was that the Pens had a terrible first period but for once adjusted, got a deserved lead and seemed to be on the brink of a win. Then the usual thing happened and they found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Joke is on me for not remembering at all times what kind of team this is.

The fact that the team is clearly not taking shootouts seriously (and this has been going on for years now) alone should be grounds for immediate dismissal of Sullivan.

Every time I think to myself "The Pens might be turning a corner and I'm going to have to make more of an effort to watch games again" they do shit like this to remind me it's not worth it. Not until Sullivan is gone anyway.

I think DK is an idiot but he did make a good point this morning on his daily shot. The whole reason Dubi picked up 45 bottom 6 players in the summer was to be able to cycle guys out who were playing poorly. What Sully's done is just stick with the guys and it's killing us. Nieto and Acchari are brutal and they're not even helping on the PK. Nieto had the puck on his stick clean before flubbing it into a defender's skate for their 1st goal on the PK.

Then you look at the ice time and Acchari is getting more TOI than Bunting and Nieto is getting a min less than him.

Please, for the love of god, fire Sully.
