Matt Nieto - played at Boston University
Kevin Hayes - from Boston
Ryan Shea - from Boston
Noel Acciari - from Rhode Island (60 miles from Boston)
David Quinn - from Rhode Island (60 miles from Boston)

How am i just realizing this?
A murderer's row of dogshit hockey personnel too. Maybe Boston's not the hockey hotbed this team should continue to dip into.

This team is not as good as this four-game winning streak suggests, but it was never as bad as the early-season performances either. Other than the Boston game, the recipe for success is to score early and often, and hold on for dear life. Great coaching, there.

I still don't trust Jarry at all. The one player we should be rushing to trade is Jarry. If his value is going up, good. Get what you can for him and move on.

The middle of the lineup is helping this team a lot. The first line is getting destroyed still because we insist to pair Letang with Grz! More like Grrrr. And for some stupid reason, the only left defenseman Sullivan "trusts" to play on the right side is the least talented of the bunch, Ryan Shea. His entire thought process is ass-backwards. And that fourth line is an insult to all hockey fans.

They could be so much better with just a few tweaks in the lineup and better coaching.

Good game, but did have that sinking feeling in the 3rd. Glad they pulled it out! Getting back from the depths will take some pain.

So magic number is 4 goal lead to win in regulation.

I'm in agreement with everbody....
Line 4 sucks. And it's even worst as they didn't do jack all SH, which was the only reason they exist!

As for the Boston stuff...
Acciari and Nieto are both Dubas' acquisitions, so I can only blame Sully partially for that. I mean he can NOT use them, but you know he will.

I am kicking myself for hesitating to bet that this would be a game with 8+ goals. :)

It's funny, early in the third I was thinking that despite the lopsided shot clock the Pens hadn't defended too badly, considering the opponent and their general defensive performances this season. And then the rest of that period happened.

Karlsson... has anyone told him that we (sadly) aren't tanking yet? At least not on purpose. He sure seems to be trying to tank.

I know Rust scored the winner but player of the game, really?

Nice to see Geno with goal and an assist with his parents in the crowd. Tomasino's assist is pretty nice for a 2027 4rd pick.

1pt out of the playoffs with -3 games in hand. It's like living in groundhog day, but instead of using immortality to better yourself, you just spend every day slamming your dick in a door.
That's called "Life", buddy.

I was actually going to come in and say that Sid looked really rough this game but I think they had the bulk of the Barkov matchup so it makes sense.

That said, I was going to compliment line 3 on how well I think they've been doing lately and I was blown away by this chart. Not completely unexpected because this matches the eye test but still nice to see them clicking.

There's no other way around line 4 though, it just sucks top to bottom. If we could somehow get rid of 2 or 3 of them and run something like Pono-Glass-Puljujarvi, I think the roster miiiiiiiight have something.

Jarry looks really bad in goal stale movement ant he looks lost out there. When are they going to test Filip Larsson you think?he played great in Leksand last season i got the Johan Hedberg vibes here just give Larsson the chance and use his leksand helmet from last season and the time machine is on.
