I guess. I'm just not in favor of blowing it up like some suggest. If we trade someone, he should be the first to go.

If we miss the playoffs again I dont see how they cant go that route. Youd think ownership would sign off on that before they do a rebuild. And I dont think Sid would be happy with a burn it down rebuild either.

Dubas has actually done pretty well in the drafting department (Leafs and Pens). He did pretty well in his only move to "sell" in the Guentzel trade IMO. This team isn't going anywhere and in desperate need of a retool/rebuild ASAP

It should've already been done. So I don't know what it's gonna take. And I don't think they'll be truly truly bad. Like bottom 3. At least not for a couple more seasons. This team is not bad on paper.
Should've been a coaching change after losing to the NYI for the 2nd time in round 1.

But I mean they've already have done a retool.

I was kind of underwhelmed with the Guentzel return. I mean yeah Canes didn't have him long, but a few mediocre prospects. Which is why I won't be in favor of trading Rakell.

All the prospects in the trade are doing really well in WBS and the 2nd round pick turned out to be Brunicke. I mean that's a pretty good return for a guy that was not going to extend in Pittsburgh.

And in all fairness, I don't really think we did a retool.

If the right offer comes along for Raks, I'd move him personally

From all indications from the Guentzel camp Jake did not want to leave?
