Pens didn't play well as much as Tampa played like ass in the first and even then they had better chances. To have a coach like Montgomery available and to keep Sullivan is just inexcusable given Sullivan has shit the bed so often after the cup, he has zero goodwill left for proving he can do anything positive with this team ever again.

But I've been on teams like this as a goalie. You start thinking YOU have to play defense too, so you start being more aggressive than you typically are and find yourself deeply out of position. You play deep in your net bc you know they aren't gonna take the back door play away.

Jarry was probably at this point last year. Glad Blom isn't around this team or he's gonna develop bad habits too.

In short, Jarry is a goalie who had questionable mental toughness and now he's lost ALL his confidence. Keep him if you want to lose more games. If not, he's gotta go

It's a guaranteed loss, so my prediction is we win and everything is good again for Mike Sullivan and the Penguins!!

If we lose, well it's the best team in the league so it's not surprising to anyone... If we lose both this weekend, then perhaps I could see changes coming!!

The attempt at neutrality is the funniest part of that whole bit, for me.



That's because he's been unplayable.

He's not helped really, but he's far from the problem. Not playing him obviously isn't winning games either. I just think he gets over hated.

I fault #35 on the overtime goal the least of any that he allowed in this game. He had to play the puck carrier for the shot while the guy was driving for the net, and his overcommission would not have been a problem if any of his teammates would have gone to and taken said puck carrier, allowing their goaltender a chance to get back to the goal. Instead, they stood around with their dex in their hands and watched.

Of course, the team would have never been in that position had #35 not pulled away from the post early and allowed two bad short side goals in the 3rd period, the first one being especially unpleasant.
