In the final 2 periods before OT, the shots were 24-10, 12-6 and 12-4, Jarry is a work in progress and the whole f***ing world knows that, but Sid f***ed up harder on that play than Jarry did.

Sid didn't bail out a monumental mistake by the goalie - therefore change the conversation from the goalie to Sid.

Jarry also scored on himself this game.

Did he play better than he usually does? Yeah. He made some timely saves throughout the game (remember, it's still early in the season and his usual collapse is springtime) - but then basically single handily ruins his own efforts.

Defense can be bad, forwards can be bad....Jarry was good, until he was utterly awful. That's the nature of the position and why he's ALWAYS been overrated here. He plays like a backup or 1B goalie and always has. Just can't sustain good play and gives up awful goals. Good enough to probably be someone's platoon goalie but his time here has expired.

Again, no one said Jarry didn’t f*** up on that deflection, that’s also just a fluky one and a bad one he probably wishes he had back. He also bit hard on that pass by Moser being a shot vs a pass, all true.

Crosby checks Moser and has the puck go right by him without an attempt to clear, Sid then skates behind the net to where the puck goes to, Point, and then skates by him and doesn’t make an attempt to check which could have also prevented the goal.

If the goalie is out of position for being dumb on a play, a player in a position to help is supposed to help. Just like if a player f***s up and allows a scoring opportunity and the goalie bails their ass out.

Holy f***, literally every other goalie ever plays that play as TJ did. Had Sid not deflected the puck it would have been a routine save and possibly a break going the other way.

Please, wise one, tell me how TJ "should" have played that.

Also, if you gonna piss on TJ for not playing the deflection, where's the hate for Petterson for giving up on Point and trying to block the shot? It's almost as if you can only see the goalie because you are so bad at understanding the game of hockey that you can only cry about the goalie when a goal goes in.

Played a decent role yeah. No one is doubting that.

But also being out shot 12-6 in the second and 12-4 in the third? He bit and f***ed up hard on the 3rd goal but Sid doing nothing to clear the puck and then skating by also aren't excused because Jarry bit on that play.

Why is that so hard for a lot here to admit. None of that excuses Jarry. But somehow the narrative is you white Knight for him by just saying that much.
