I mostly agree with your post. But this part.. I mean, did you watch overtime?
Yes, I did. that was 100% on Sid.

Pinched for no reason so he was late and turned it into a 3v2. TJ sets up for the shooter and Sid deflects it down low to Point with TJ out of position.

Can no one f***ing watch hockey and see anyone besides the f***ing goalie? Morons.

Yeah it's certainly one thing to come in and presume the loss would be 'blamed' on Jarry (after all, this wasn't a 6-1 game), and another to just try and blame any skater for that OT goal other than Jarry. That positioning made utterly zero sense. Junior grade shit right there. It's 3 on 3 and he's doing what exactly? Thinking he's a defender all of a sudden?

Sullivan deserves all the criticism in the world for how this team plays with a lead. Also, it's inexcusable for Puljujarvi to play only 10 minutes with the way he's been playing.

Crosby deserves ample criticism for his backcheck in OT.

But my god, this game was emblematic of Tristan Jarry's career. Plays well for 45 minutes, gives up two in the third, and then is completely off the map on the OT winner. Embarassing.

Crosby had 2 chances to get the puck there, one before Jarry bites hard on that play and the pass is made, it slowly floats and Sid just needed to reach and knock it to the corner, he doesn’t. Then he skates right by Point and again, does absolutely f***ing nothing.

True but a well coached team locks it down and they cruze to a win.

Jarry's bad play is amplified 10 folds by sullivans incompetence.

Holy f*** you guys are pathetic.

Sid breaking up the play right to Point and Petterson not playing him had zero to do with the OT goal and it was all TJ.

f***ing losers.

Dude, Crosby's poor play doesn't mean a damn thing if Jarry just stays in his cage instead of wandering like a lunatic.

Jarry bit on that play hard, no one is saying he didn’t, but the team is there to bail him out too just like how he was doing all game except for that bad goal deflecting off his stick before that OT goal. We can blame Jarry on that one and we should, but it was also a goal that was avoidable if the so called greatest 200ft player actually does what he should have in two instances.

Like FFS, the shots were almost double what the Pens put up and in the 3rd it was something absurd like 14-4. Crosby had 2 opportunities to clear the puck or check the player after Jarry bites hard on the pass, he did neither.

Sid didn't bail out a monumental mistake by the goalie - therefore change the conversation from the goalie to Sid.

Jarry also scored on himself this game.

Did he play better than he usually does? Yeah. He made some timely saves throughout the game (remember, it's still early in the season and his usual collapse is springtime) - but then basically single handily ruins his own efforts.

Defense can be bad, forwards can be bad....Jarry was good, until he was utterly awful. That's the nature of the position and why he's ALWAYS been overrated here. He plays like a backup or 1B goalie and always has. Just can't sustain good play and gives up awful goals. Good enough to probably be someone's platoon goalie but his time here has expired.
