I guess I missed the practice where McGroarty was lined up next to Crosby and Rust to get him going right out of the gate!

The dude got off to a slow start, had a great game in preseason, made the team because of injury, got little ice time for 3 GP, no PP time and was sent back to the AHL. If that is what Dubas was thinking when he traded our best prospect for Winnipeg's best prospect, then he is a complete dweeb.

The decline of Drew O'Connor has been rapid and spectacular. He is so awful right now. I would take anything for him.

As someone else said, you can't re-sign O'Connor when the roster is already filled to the gills for next season and beyond with bad bottom-six forwards. And O'Connor is nowhere near good enough to make room for him.

I have to agree. Pickering has looked really good and will be starting next year in the NHL guaranteed unless something ridiculous happens.

RDs have more value arguably but at this Point we have no issues with Pickering.

I think he’s young enough that there’s still potential for him to get better. I think certain Pens writers have been way too enamoured with him but for a UFA that’s a decent get

Hoglander scored over 20 goals like 5 minutes ago. Getting him and a 3rd for UFA Pettersson would be tidy business and I’m not a huge Hoglander fan
