I won't go into details is what he goes on about, then he goes he would welcome the discussion about tactics, etc. Lol, how the f*** does anyone take this idiot serious or even as some brilliant coach. On one hand he won't go into details about the changes he's made but then welcomes the discussion about tactics and strategy.
 
I really wish sports journos would press him on this kinda shit more often because when they do, he gets so visibly annoyed, it's hilarious. Like he's f***ing disgusted that he has to lower himself to their level to explain things.

Drive this f***er outta town. Save this team from itself.

I dunno, guys. I mean, I hate Sullivan as much as anybody, but why should he go into the details of their gameplan with the media? Sure, there are ways to answer these types of questions more generally without being an arrogant prick, but it's not owed to the media and I don't think any coaches do it in any sport.

And frankly, who cares? If he told us what they were doing and it still doesn't work, would that make it OK? No. We're only focusing on it because they are losing.

Seth has stated he has and was basically yelled at by Sullivan or some shit to that extent. So Seth has pissed off Sullivan by just asking him normal shit. Sullivan has been snippy towards sports journalists/media anytime he gets asked something that questions his decisions.

Well when you go on about wanting to discuss tactics but then won't discuss adjustments, which I guarantee the tactics part he wouldn't answer anyway, he just wants you to take him at face value for those comments and assume he's done his due diligence and ignore the previous 2 seasons like they were just "flukes" or something, lol.

The arrogance in Mike Sullivan is comical, he goes on about how no one knew who Jake Guentzel was, that he choses the best 20 players to use, by that logic his healthy scratching of Jesse Puljujarvi several times and not healthy scratching players like Acciari an others makes zero sense. Because if you are choosing the 20 that help you win, why are you then taking out players that play well to keep giving more ice time to players that play very poorly?

I'm not defending Sullivan. I'm just saying complaining about him not revealing his gameplan to the media is silly. He should be judged on how the team performs on the ice, not what he says to the media. Using those standards, he should have been fired at least 4 years ago.

The team performed terribly. And no obvious adjustments were on display by the team. Therefore, Sullivan sucks.
 
I do find it a bit ridiculous that this place has no nuance in the Sullivan discussion. People make bizarre arguments about him on here, and when people say "that's a bizarre argument to make about Sullivan", they just get accused of defending Sullivan.
