Sullivan gots to go!

There are players who are available right now that could really help us, but it would probably take a coaching change for these "types" of players to have any traction with this franchise.

One player I immediately think about is Arber Xhekaj. He seems to have fallen out of favor with St. Louis in Montreal. He is a work in progress defensively, but he has a howitzer of a shot and is a legit bad ass in this league. I firmly believe we do not have enough left defensemen in the organization, and I also firmly believe there is no way Arber X could do any worse next to Letang than Grz. I don't know what Montreal would want but their goaltending situation is a hot mess right now. Just saying.

Another guy who could really help us is Andrei Kuzmenko in Cgy. He is on an expiring contract. Plays either wing. Has a great shot and would be a nice power-play option for us. Cgy is said to be in the market for a right-shooting center. Cody Glass for Andrei Kuzmenko? We would have to send something else to make the money work.

There are plenty more players that would help the cause. But the coach is the rod in the spokes on a lot of these options.

nowhere in JFresh’s tweet does it say that.

It says competent management. We’ve been giving big contracts to moronic players like Jack Johnson, Tanev, and Graves while Washington has been making shrewd deals.

They’ve also been willing to part with pieces when they knew they were a fringe team. See last year, they traded Edmundson even though they were likely to make the playoffs.

Our management has been incompetent and our players have generally succeeded despite it.
Except that when you go back and actually look, they made as many bad or questionable trades as we did for a level of player that was largely not impactful. Only last year once they knew they were out did they dump a bunch of players for draft capital. Then they took a leap of faith on PLD in the same way we did Karlsson.

If you want to say "they kept more 1st than we did and one of them is now a roster player" as the defining line between "competent management" and not while ignoring the fact that since 2018 when they won the cup they've been as irrelevant as us when it comes to Cup contenders then...go right ahead. I'll be over here laughing at you.

You speak to me in this degrading, condescending tone and later in the day want me to have conversations like nothing happened?
I don't want your "two guesses". I want you to f*** off.

Wow...ok I hit a nerve.

Ok I'll rephrase.

Stating that results rule over the process flies in the face of all evidence and research in a multitude of fields. So I take issue with your statement. Because process is repeatable, results are not. It's an immutable component of life (forget sports, business, psychology fields, etc)

I knew he won stuff prior to the Pens. In fact I'm sure having won championships prior was a reason he was drafted. That doesn't change my post he's an absolute mental headcase NOW.

That poster is insanely thin skinned and thinks "they disagree with my opinion" means they're disrespectful.

I don't know how you survive on a discussion website if you're so fragile anytime anyone challenges your thoughts.

The hate just seemed non proportional to my original post

Caps let go Trotz in that span after a cup, said bye to Reirden and Lavi and hired Carbery (smart move). Meanwhile the Pens just grew a bigger hard on for Complete Sentences Sullivan.
They finally win a cup with Trotz and refuse to pay him what he's worth so they let him walk. They've been irrelevant since.

Now look, the Penguins are hardly the model of "well-run franchises," but one of the last things I would be doing is putting, of all teams, the Washington Capitals on the pedestal of models to be envied.

I don't get it. I wanted him in the top 6. He is a workhorse for Malkin and Crosby I imagine. He works hard He deserves minutes to show it. I don't expect him to score a million points but the work ethic he shows out there. It's good stuff.

I don't get how Sullivan ignores it.
He's even a super capable defensive Forward historically, who could probably be a quality PK'er if taught. Confidence was riding high offensively. Skating and physicality was strong.
Doesn't matter. Sullivan just destroys whatever he touches now.
I always say 1 bad goal a game is allowed.

Yes to all the haters that say bad goals should never happen guess what they do.
They happen all the time. Goaltending is regressing in the league. And players are grown men who played the sport their whole lives, and have seen hundreds to thousands of bad goals.
They are not that fragile lol.
A lot of the time the players bad for their goalie who let in a trash goal and want
Lol whatever you say bud.

As someone who has played high level hockey my entire life (as a goalie), I can easily tell when my team gets deflated when I give up a bad goal. Not all goals are created equal. Giving up a bad goal when your team has all of the momentum completely kills your team's momentum, just like making an insane save when the other team has all of the momentum builds up your team's momentum.

The situation in which goals/saves happen matter.
I mean, look at it from my perspective. Read your recent comment history back to yourself aloud. Would you want to discuss anything with a kunt like that? Hell no.
Look at this shit:

That's since Sunday evening. 4 days.
What am I supposed to do with a guy like this? Try to have a adult hockey conversation?
How? It's impossible. I'm dealing with an angry manchild.

Obviously your intent is not to talk hockey at all. You're here to vent, troll and bash, using hockey as a shield.
That leaves nothing of value I can glean from any exchange.

Since Barrasso left, every Pens goalie has been a head case.

another day another AB rant.

Uh oh I say literally too much, guess that means I'm an angry manchild!

The funny part in all of this is that poster is the only one that ever goes on tantrums in this. Everyone else here has heated debates, sure, but that person is the only one that acts like he's getting personally insulted if anyone challenges his viewpoint.

I would totally be interested in getting Xhekaj but man, if there was every a player that was the exact opposite of what this coaching staff wants, it's him.

Then I'll explain, since you don't understand.
It's not about disagreeing with me. It never was. You are free to disagree with every point I make in a long post.

It's about the delivery of a response. Emp chooses to throw in personal attacks and other trash every time he counters, because he's immature. I showed a ton of examples above.
Then the moment someone doesn't take his shit, they are labeled "sensitive". It's asshole 101, and it's incredibly lame from someone who's 30+.
Pixies is the same, even if his delivery is more trolling focused.

If they simply chose to not be kunts, we would have had many quality conversations, and the board would have been better for it.
Peat used to dismantle my posts, and if I agreed with his counters then I would concede, and even enjoy the conversation. The difference is he was a fully mentally developed adult, without ulterior motives in every exchange. He had people skills and wasn't rotten to the core. So it worked.
I don't recall one exchange where we attacked each other personally. Just two men talking hockey.

So you can either choose to be like Peat or like them. If you want me to respond well, take option #1 and everything will be smooth sailing.

Spoiler alert: the only person I called "sensitive" is you. Because you regularly go on these tirades any time you feel even the least bit insulted in a discussion. Remember that whole tirade you went on about how we're all trolls because we didn't think Zohorna was good, and you just kept posting "he had a good points/60!!!" over and over again.

The reality is that you regularly make bad arguments based on data without taking the data into context, and anytime anyone calls you out for it, you get insanely defensive and act like everyone is insulting you and just being a troll. Then you take the slightest of negative feedback (like me saying "sounds like you've never been on a sports team before") and blow it up as if I just called your mother a whore to her face. It happens all of the time.

Alright, everyone relax. We are all here to just talk Penguin hockey and occaaaaasionally rag on each other a bit. The only hate we should have is for Mike Sullivan.
You really believe that? Emp and Pixies have never come here to discuss hockey. Not primarily. They are here to get an emotional payoff through the users.
One wants stress relief, by hammering the users and mocking their intelligence for self-gratification.
The other wants to toy with them out of boredom, cuz they have no hobbies and don't know how to spend his days. Since he has almost no empathy for others, torturing others comes easily.

It's different approaches, but they are similar in that they are both trash people.

I'll again say "you must have me confused with someone else". Because while my post at worst may have been pedantic, you didn't need to take it to the level you did by suggesting to f*** off.

I have never treated you that way and I'll challenge anyone to say I've approached them in a similar manner. And I never will do that.

Unsure if it was a case of confusion or misguided anger, but I give respect and expect the same in return.
