This has let down written all over it. Despite losing a lot of talent to injury, the Pens defense has looked very solid, and the guys they have up front make up for a lack of talent by out working anyone on the other team.

This team can barely beat other mediocre and bad teams. Even a gutted Penguins plays with more purpose than a healthy NYR squad.

There isn't much to like about this team at all.

The Pens always seem to have a slew of significant injuries each year, yet they still manage to stay competitive and remain one of the best teams in the East. Now that's good depth.

The Rangers better not take the Pens lightly just because some of their top guys are out. Then again, the Rangers appear to take almost every other team lightly, even the mediocre and bad ones, so why should this game be any different?

pens are the exact type of team that capitalizes on lackluster play. They will score early and often. Empty net will never even be a consideration. (if there was going to be one it would be Dupuis)

This is a stat stacker for the pens. Goals and points galore.

Would love to eat crow here, but that's not happening.
