Pens dominated the first few minutes until the Canes got their legs; then it evened out a bit. Pens' power play helped to level the playing field a bit.

The shots are coming from good spots but Canes defenders are getting their sticks on them. Almost impossible to get an uncontested shot from the slot against this team.

My main issue with the PP is they know the Canes are being super aggressive, but instead of moving the puck quicker to try and burn the Canes' aggression, they're playing right into it by being methodical with one guy trying to deke out the PK guys to gain space.

They didn't look bad until they started putting the puck on the boards. Unfortunately, it was large part of the PP, then had tons of trouble with entries because CAR skaters are faster than the Jazzy models PIT's players use.
