I'd rank the Canucks targets Garland, Boeser and Miller for my preference on which one to acquire. Miller's clearly the best player there, but he's having a shit year and costs a ton of money on his extension. Do I think he'd be better here? Yeah, but that's a huge contract to make that gamble on.
Pass on Boeser, too many injuries for my liking.

Sometimes people can be a problem one place and fine in another. Work environments and such. I wouldn’t be too concerned about that aspect, TBH.

We've had some "winners" over the years in that respect.... and many of them worked out. I'm not as concerned about this part of any potential move.

I'm honestly just looking for insanity.

I don't care if we crash and burn harder. Just crazy trades. Make this team different. They've been so gross to watch lol

The fact that Miller is a big piss baby about losing or teammates doing stupid stuff is the most endearing part about him

I wouldn't shy away from Miller due to the accusations of locker room problems. Put him in a good situation and I think he'd be fine, same kind of deal as with Kessel. The issue with him is his $8 million extension and him having a terrible year this year.

If you can get him for basically nothing, I'd go for it, but I'd really rather not spend many assets on him.

I really think Garland's more of the same; expensive, smaller middle-6 guy who ends up between 40-50pts. Sounds awful. If the only realistic alternatives to add are Boeser and JT Miller, I'd rather stand pat (or sell expiring contracts and accrue assets to make a better trade later).

I think Boeser could be sneaky good for a team because it feels like he's just crushed by the weight of disappointment after his rookie year and the way his father's death unraveled. I don't know that he finds his goal-scoring bravado of his rookie year, but he's got an unreal shot and could be a 40g guy on some team if things work out really well.

Boeser seems like a guy Sully would torment lol

I mean.... that "corporate approach" has allowed me to watch 5 cup wins in my fan years.... I'll take it, frustrating though it may be at times.

I mean after Mario and Burkle bought the team. There’s a very phony aspect to the every day business. Not so much what’s going on on the ice. In other words, they will never come out and say we are going to rebuild. They’re going to let you have your hope until you don’t anymore, or you just end up in delusion. Everything is done with their image in mind. It’s priority number one and it always has been.

Hextall balked at what Zona got from the Sens for Chychrun. He could have given that and upgraded the D but nope Dumo is just to valuable and Yep good chance he lands Garland the 5-10 180 pound winger. Complete joke. I hope Sid says F this and demands to be an AV tomorrow. Between Sullivan and Hextall, this franchise is just not what it was. I hope fans walk from this crap and FSG finds barrels of nuclear waste under the land deal. IF the boston beanies don't fire Sullivan and Hextall after this season they deserve to see the fan base do the bucco bolt.

Phil worked because he was still in his prime, was added to a core of Sid/Geno/Letang/Hornqvist still in their primes, and Phil had a colossal chip on his shoulder to prove Toronto's execs and sports media wrong. His ambitions aligned with the Pens' ambitions and as soon as he got those two Cups, he checked out, imo.

Don't think Miller's anything like that. Dude smacks of Orpik's arrogant, "it's never my fault" nature and I think that's El Stinko Grande.
