I'm 100% convinced with this hire that they're going purely young guys next year and going forward, you don't bring in McGroarty's old juniors coach if you're going to spend money on guys like Marchand in UFA. I'm just curious to what level Dubas tears down the roster and adds more youth, does he keep Rust and Rakell to have some insulation there or does he get super aggressive?

Feels like a "safe" win/win for Dubas.

Basically meaning if Muse does an awesome job and gets them back to the playoffs, it will be a genius hire. If it goes south, your hiring a guy that isn't expected to to go the distance with this core and his experience and could be let go easily

Dan Muse has substantial experience with USA Hockey, serving as a head coach with the National Team Development Program from 2020-23 and leading the group to a gold medal at the 2023 World Under-18 Championship. Rutger McGroarty was captain of that squad.
