Yeah I have it pretty much done. Just need to splice it together and put the bells and whistles on it. Probably out tomorrow or Thursday. Tanner Howe is almost done too.
Penguins officially confirmed it. Also I saw @Jesse you're doing a Hallander mix tape, really excited to see that. I saw this one on twitter:
Jesse tweeted out about an hour ago that he's throwing together a mix tape similar to his top prospects videos.
Typical Mike Sullivan methodology of “look, see, I tried youth, now give me more Harkins, White, Nieto, and Acciari so I can ‘win’ nothing meaningful for more years!”Actually it was 3 games averaging 8:36 toi per game.
If Nieto deserves 54 @ 11:59 per game, then yes Hallander deserved more than he got. His "audition" wasn't enough to learn anything of his capabilities.
Hate to break it but I think this guarantees no forward additions unless Rust or Rakell move out. Too many scrubs on one ways to send out. I'm fine with that. Hallander can play 3LW and if he falters, Hayes is passable on a non contender.Assuming either Dewar or Hallander can play RW, this is probably what I'd try to do as well.
Leave the 3rd line LW spot open for a nice UFA addition, ideally one that can give them insurance if McGroarty or Koivunen struggle in the top-6.
Sick pass!
I definitely see him in a 3rd line role. Has a scoring touch, can skate and goes to the dirty area right in front of the goal.
@Jesse what do you think about Hallander´s defensive game? Is he a reliable two way player and do you think a 3rd line of Hallander - Novak - Tomassino could work, given a better deployment as a defensive line?
And it's a one way. Doesn't mean he wont go down, but it signals Dubas is fairly confident he's NHL ready.I just realized the signed for 2 years.
I hope this works out for us and he emerges as some sort of middle 6 guy.
If you wrote the same about Koivunen, I'd believe you. I'd take two of those.More than anything else he seems like a smart player with good situational awareness. Very efficient with how he gets around the ice... always seems to end up in and around the puck. Nothing about his skillset really pops out at you... puck skills, skating, shot, playmaking etc. But smarts and a nose for the net can get you far.
EDIT: His game looks like it's taken strides since his time here. Which is promising.

I think his contract was 200k a year. And it's a one way. Doesn't mean he wont go down, but it signals Dubas is fairly confident he's NHL ready.
