Malkin and Letang are decent enough.
Yeah….no.
Geno has had his ass kicked by injuries and Father Time and Letang has basically been a brainless (even more than before) corpse on skates for 2-3 years now.

Yeah, he’s definitely retiring there. What about Pittsburgh?
…
When Geno played with Rust and Jason Zucker a couple of years ago that was a kickass second line. Lately he’s played with Reilly Smith, Beauvilier, Bunting, Drew O’Conner and a little last year with Rakell. He needs more help but is still a good second line centerYeah….no.

I bet you wouldWe would love to have Sid come to Montreal and finish his career with the Habs.
So.....about the time Crosby retires the team will be good again?Oh wow, a team that started a rebuild a year ago still has a way to go in their rebuild. What a shock!
It's hilarious fans are taking shots at the Penguins in here as if Penguins fans think this team should be good or will be good anytime soon. Most Penguins fans don't think this team will be good again until like 2029 at the earliest.
I would be shocked if Dubas knows what the word rebuild meansEffectively yes, and his moves in the past year have said the same thing.
His moves over the past year have said he has no idea wtf he's doing or what the goal is
He's not rebuilding and he's not competing
His moves over the past year suggest that he's trying to build a contender around Crosby but failed. I don't think this is a rebuild, just a failed attempt at trying to build a contender.
What exactly do you think they are doing this year? They should follow the Boston model and tank. Crosby can pad his stats in peace since he has no pressure after delivering 3 cups.
This is exactly what they will do. They have a bunch of cap and no one to sign. You don't re-sign Crosby for 2 years if you plan on doing a real rebuild. They're clearly still going to try and at least make the playoffs for the next 2 years. No real RFAs to re-sign to anything significant. They've got some cap, they'll use it.
2029? so when AGI is here and takes over the team and finally fires Sullivan.So.....about the time Crosby retires the team will be good again?

Look how the Capitals retooled under Ovechkin, zero excuse for the Pens.Yes. The Penguins are extremely likely to not be good before Crosby retires.
Yep. Maybe the Penguins can have all of their 1st round draft picks back that they spent to win cups, and have albatross contracts come off their books by aging players being hurt to spend money elsewhere.Look how the Capitals retooled under Ovechkin, zero excuse for the Pens.
Thats what happens when you only play to pad Crosby stats instead of winning
Why do you spam this pointless stat in every penguins thread. Pens were an elite team in their prime when Crosby missed all that time. That's all this means.Sid is an overhyped toxic leader (PIT P% with SId .601; w/o .633).
PIT took many PO spots before not because of him, but despite him.
8 years.Yep. Maybe the Penguins can have all of their 1st round draft picks back that they spent to win cups, and have albatross contracts come off their books by aging players being hurt to spend money elsewhere.
Maybe they can get Letang to get injured for an LTIR stint, go back in time to get all their 1st rounders back as well…
It’s like people don’t think before speaking on these forums.
