If the team's bottom six was a little stronger, it's easily the most lovable Devils team since '01.

Sounds like you finally did the Molly I sent you.I thought he actually faced a few more quality chances this game than some of the other games where he faced a few more shots. He earned the shutout and definitely made saves to allow us to not fall behind when it was scoreless for a very long portion of the game.
Hopefully no new threads go up about the Devils. Let’s see how it plays out.I love how none you assholes have posted on the main board the last couple of weeks. Best team in the NHL and nobody has to know about it.
We've also won a few that we probably shouldn't have. It all works out in the end.
They’re desperate to get back in the race. Would not be shocked at all if Igor plays tomorrow and Monday with the break right after.
While we are doing well in the standings, i feel this team could be even better. Tonights game proved that. Kept on saying that its a long process to get Keefe and other new guys working together in a new system and as long as we make the playoffs, we good. Plenty of time to get this thing firing on all cylinders by April.
One ref stood there and watched Bunting take multiple baseball style swings and hit Hamilton’s legs. Ref did nothing because apparently Bunting being in his feels negated him going temporarily crazy. The refereeing has been shockingly horrible against NJ the last few games. Somehow we control whole ass games and yet are only able to draw 1-2 pps per game and always less than our opponent

We did that once. It’s nowhere near even.
The point that we have 3 strong pairings is a good one, but Pesce and Hughes are not our 3rd pair. They play the most 5v5 minutes of the 3.Not sure if it was Danno, who mentioned that when you have Pesce and Hughes has your third pairing, you must have a pretty good defense.
Didn't they show in the replay that while skating toward his bench, he put his helmet on, and then turned around and joined play again? While not wearing a helmet, no less. I missed the part in the rulebook where helmetless players are allowed to slash at opponents if they feel they've been wronged, then they have to skate to the bench.

But I don't mind battling the ref's a little right now. As long as we win of course, but we are so, go ahead, make it more difficult.
Pretty sure Sieg's lost his helmet last year or the year before and the rule was, lose your helmet, get off the ice.He definitely didn't get off the ice.
I saw that live from in arena. He put the dome back on as he got back to bench (but never got off) and circled back into the play.
What is the official rule for that? Is it more Long the lines of, if you "lose" your helmet? He had it in his hand and was putting it back on (albeit while skating back to the bench)
