I said this last year and they are better but I think it’s still somewhat true. They win by out skating teams. At the start of games teams are drag and can skate with them. That wears down over the game.

Pretty true, the Devils are good at adjusting usually too. Their skaters are pretty heady players.

My son is a Sharks fan and we watched them play the Oilers this afternoon. Crazy game, great saves and a Draisaitl OT goal. The league has a fine product. Tonight is just two teams playing a bit sloppy on some awful ice. Hopefully not going to be a trend in our building.

Honestly I’d probably rather too few penalties called than too many, especially now - might as well get used to playoff reffing lol…so long as it’s consistent for both teams. It annoys me the games we dominate but only have two power plays to the other team’s five

Of course. But that doesn’t explain the constant slog of play. NJ is one of the more dynamic teams. You really think 21 shot pace is because they missed the net a few times?
