Swann is just blowing where the political winds are blowing. I heard his interview not that long ago, just before the Super Bowl, and he was very non-committal and barely knew a thing about the arena issue, or even that it was a big deal. 'I have to study that' I think was his response or something like that. Now he joins almost every state wide official other than the Governor in endorsing at least the use of slots money for an arena, if not outright endorsing the IOC plan.
A question. Can you name one politician, just one, who has endorsed the Forest City/Station Square plan? That tells you far more than Swann's endorsement.
The one good thing though, it almost forces Rendell's hand. He almost has to endorse slots money for an arena to be in the same ball park as Swann. Just a guess that he does so.
