That was a bad trade . Jt Miller hitting 34 years old .Rangers would be dumb not to give up this pick this year, there's no way you can even tempt fate giving a division rival a double chance at McKenna. But it's Chris Drury, so who knows
I got the Bruins making the playoffs.Who will be worse next year- Pens, Boston, or Philly?

Yes.Who will be worse next year- Pens, Boston, or Philly?
Well if the Rangers keep their pick this year, let’s hope Mike really does join the Rangers so the Pens can get a top 5 pick.Who will be worse next year- Pens, Boston, or Philly?
The dream team of Sullivan, Torts and Quinn back in NYWell if the Rangers keep their pick this year, let’s hope Mike really does join the Rangers so the Pens can get a top 5 pick.
I think Philly bounces back.
It’s funny that apparently Torts is going to join the Rangers in a different role. It’s almost a guarantee Sullivan is joining his bff.
Rangers fan nightmare I imagine. LolThe dream team of Sullivan, Torts and Quinn back in NY
This will probably get mocked but I'm thinking the same.I got the Bruins making the playoffs.
The team with the oldest core of the 3, penguins.Who will be worse next year- Pens, Boston, or Philly?
He was a UFA, they couldn't afford to re-sign him - thanks to the added contract of Karlsson - and so they had to trade him.(C) He was an UFA, their most tradeable asset and was highly likely to test the market.
So moving the youngest of the veteran core while retaining everyone else (and having added a veteran defenseman the year period) is demonstrative of rebuilding? No one, that's the point of rebuilding
JG is a core player. But Hedman, Vassi, Kuch, and Point are more important for sure.If Guentzel is the cornerstone of your team you are a perpetual lottery team. He's like the 6th best player on TB and they are down 3-1 in the first round.
In any transition from veteran contending team to a full rebuild, veteran leadership is still an important element. They don’t need to be Crosby/Malkin 2.0.If Guentzel is the cornerstone of your team you are a perpetual lottery team. He's like the 6th best player on TB and they are down 3-1 in the first round.
This is a good summary of what happened with Sully. This move came many years too late, and most of us are surprised it happened at all. I'm sure he'll bring the Bruins or the Rags back to the playoffs next year and wish him the best. One of the most important players in franchise history (Crosby) liked him after they won back-to-back Cups, which was in 2017. Since then, they have only won one(!) playoff series, and that was in 2018.
So for anyone claiming he's falling on the sword for this season... It's more management finally acknowledging that he isn't the right coach anymore. If we're being honest, he should have been dismissed after they lost to Montreal during the COVID year. So five years ago...
All that having been said, he did a tremendous job when he first took over. Whoever hires him will get a shot in the arm, granted they have the personnel.

But man, it is so good to finally move on here in Pittsburgh. I hope the Pens land Carle.
I think the general consensus has been that the Pittsburgh owners have vetoed firing Sullivan.Did Sid veto Dubas firing Sullivan a year ago? If not, what is with Dubas' feigned concern for Crosby's approval?
