Chris Drury creamed his pants when he saw this news
Yes. He had two years left.He had years remaining on his extension, is it paid out and he’s free to sign anywhere?
Maybe Dubas should part ways too
Mike Sullivan will get hired with NYR now
We have gone through a number of tactical changes as the roster eroded away. We went through a more passive 1-2-2 phase a couple years ago, and then opened it up again late in the year and went on a run. This past season, I agree, it was just "ah **** it, let's just try to have fun" and those tactics were only appealing to the only line worth a damn on the team...He basically insisted on not adjusting no matter what. Still tried to play the same as if the roster was in their mid 20s
When when you try a bunch of things and nothing works I think eventually you just sit back and enjoy the shit.. show.We have gone through a number of tactical changes as the roster eroded away. But the "adjustment" buzzword that folks like to parrot, isn't based on real events. I have seen a number of things over the years, in season, in series that he has "adjusted"...
This year felt like a tactical phone-in...so I think it was time...
We never did that. He never tried to play a more defensive game. And yes a lot of that probably had to do with what the players wanted but it was his responsibility to be the bad guy in the situation. We have gone through a number of tactical changes as the roster eroded away. Rust is one of my favorite non-Bruins to watch but including him in that list of people is hilarious.
He can sit 2 years and collect his pay or he will most likely sign with another team and the Penguins either pay the difference of salary over 2 years or the more likely side of him getting a raise and we do not pay.He had years remaining on his extension, is it paid out and he’s free to sign anywhere?
Be great if he could.Once again, Kyle Dubas consolidates his power. He just needs to run Crosby out of town now.

Doubt he's walking from that money. Its just a better headline than firing a guy that gave your org that much.If they both agreed to part ways, that should void the contract.
Press release almost sounds like a firing. If they both agreed to part ways, that should void the contract.
