After being drafted (2019)6 years ago amid high expectations and being waived it was great to see French Canadiens Jacob Pelletier breaking out and having a "mammoth" game with 2 G and 2A against the Black Hawks Monday the night! From afar I have always cheered and pulled for the youngster to get a fair shake and establish himself...here's wishing for an extended time with the Flames and points galore! Pelletier has shown he can score and has done it at the Major Junior and AHL level. Now he needs time with skilled linmates that can elevate his game and not be shunned to the 4th line with plumbers and hacks

Pelletier's development stagnated a bit with some of the injuries he dealt with but he hasn't been bad at all with the limited ice time he's been given. (38 point pace averaging 12 minutes). I still think he can become a top 6 player.

Pelletier played pretty well with Huby and Kadri at one point.. wouldn't hurt to try him in Pospisil's spot. He has the motor and two way play to cover up Kadri and Huby'a deficiencies but also better offensive ability than Pospisil (pacing for more points despite averaging 2 less minutes)
