PDB said Burns in the room was strictly because he wasn't going to play anymore. didn't mention any injury. Whether this is true or the usual hush-hush is up to interpretation, but it's a little reassuring I guess. Also I didn't see any dire event during any of his shifts that could have caused injury too.

Burns is definitely hurt -- if he isn't going on the ice, he stays on the bench. Hopefully it's nothing too bad.

Yeah, his last shift was at 9:53 of the third. Just sounds like gamesmanship from Deboer. If he's healthy, you would keep him on the bench.
Heed has plenty of experience in that boat.

Does anyone still want to slam DW for wasting assets when he traded a 7th round in 2020 for Fehr?

Great game tonight (finally was able to watch an entire game). Really glad the Sharks retaliated to the cheap shit by running the score up, rather than sinking to the sucks' level and going full goon.

Please sweep them. I don't wanna play these dirty f***ers one more second than we have to.

If Burns is out(please no!), do you think the coaches will stick with their LD-RD preference and play Heed or play Ryan with someone on their off side.

Aww man, I totally forgot to post this during the game

I think the coaches will promote DeMelo and put Ryan on the bottom pairing

Martin - DeMelo
Vlasic - Braun
Dillon - Ryan

Somewhere in Bulgaria: Heed

Last time we see Burns on camera is at 10:09 of the 3rd. He takes a massive slap shot but misses the net. After that, he's gone from the game... No clue what happened to him. It's right before the Sharks' 6th goal.

I do think some of us overrated Anaheim. They’re a good team, they have some tremendous talent, but they have a lot anchors eating up minutes and are coached by a dinosaur retread.

They are overrated on HF because Getzlaf and Perry are WJC darlings and living off a Stanley Cup win 11 years ago (led by Nieds, Pronger and Teemu)

While the Sharks were outshot 36-46, and were 46.81% CF% (66-75), they still had 6 more high danger chances than the Ducks (17-11). A look at the Sharks shot and goal heat map put the majority of their shots, and 6 of their goals, in the slot before the hash marks. Their other two goals are just outside the slot as well. If the Sharks can continue to get good position in the slot, they will continue to score on a higher percentage of shots. By contrast the Ducks shots are all over the place, clearly their gameplan was to shoot the puck from all angles (a la Sharks of 2005-2015).

Under the radar, Jones stole that game as much as the score does not show that he did.

Absolutely. I was at the game tonight and as much fun as it was, I felt this was easily our worst game of the series. The Ducks are just full of undisciplined idiots.

Also, my mom and I made it on TV for this game! :D

One of my girlfriend's friends saw Burns leaving SAP tonight, she said "must not have been feeling well as he only signed a few things. He wasn't his usual talkative self. He didn't look injured but not happy." She also said Dillon had an icepack on his wrist and joked that it was signing too many autographs.

Tonight was one of the most satisfying games I've watched. Not only do I believe the Ducks are the dirtiest team in the league, but I live in southern California and was at game 2. I have to listen to these ignorant, show up late, leave early Ducks fans tell me how great they are cause they won a cup 11 years ago and how they aren't dirty, just tough.

Even their skill players act like pieces of shit on the ice. Montour is the perfect example. Young talented Dman, that plays like a little punk because hes learning from some of the dirtiest sore losers in the game(Perry, Kesler, Getz.) Keep skating away from these glorified goons while we're laughing in their face with crooked numbers on the scoreboard.
