I did this move at my slow men's league pace and scored and some guys thought I just lost the puck and recovered while one dude shouted out "wow he pulled the Bure"
Obviously I have no where near the speed and skill to do it like he did but glad people still talk about it and recognize it cause its a classic and one of my favs!
This has nothing to do with examples from the modern NHL lol.
God how fast was he?
God how fast was he?
B-But not as fast as McJesus! In fact, McJesus is TWICE as fast as Bure was!I can't imagine that move being effective unless you can pull it off at a very high speed.
How many players do you think could pull that off at high speed? Not many. My lord I had almost forgotten how fast Bure was.
God how fast was he?
Linus klasen uses that exact move in shootouts
Too lazy to embed/map specific times for you

You just have to use this as evidence any time someone makes that claim.B-But not as fast as McJesus! In fact, McJesus is TWICE as fast as Bure was!
The neat thing in the video, the replay at about the 45 second mark from the end of the rink, you see the "S" line Bure skates vs the straight line the dman was skating.. still separating.
You just have to use this as evidence any time someone makes that claim.
Miles Wood is faster. Pavel Bure was faster.
